Running a farm and shoot of that size must be a nightmare. Imagine juggling all the demands and then flu arrives. Not for me, I would cave in under that sort of pressure. Hats off to them. Impressed is a understatement.

Earliar 6,5x55 were the most popuøar cartridge,now with wild boar and more lead free the options the 7x64 and .308 has taken over more for it. But its still around . Boar is popping up in more areas each year, so its some smaller popuøations off the border regions in Norway also,.

Dear Fieldsportschannel, I've been working in France for a week now, originally from Belgium. I think you guys should do something of a hare shoot here. I take ground samples for the farmers so I'm on the fields all day. The amount of wildlife I see and the hunters that see me. All lot of hares end up as roadkill, for the past three days I've found a carsmacked hare for every morning. A pheasant broke my frontwindow as I was looking at the rest, sailing upwards. I'll be eating them tonight and over the week. Some open country shooting would be nice to watch and I want to see David struggling with the camera in the French Limoux / Loam.
Pheasants are rocksolid, wished I could ad a picture of my window. Cassé

Great video! I bought the same rifle last year, don’t have any of those little baby deer in my country, but harvested a big beautiful Canadian moose with it last fall, interesting to see a red dot on a bolt action hunting rifle, might have to give that a try with bush hunting in my area next season

Great show. Great to see hunting being accepted and respected. Vast majority of people in the U.K. are very anti shooting even of pest species never mind game. Until that changes hunting in the U.K. will always have it detractors
You can buy products in the uk to stop deer eating trees, basically rendered sheep offal and you spray it on with a nap sack sprayer.

Trico is indeed really effective for keeping deer from eating all your freshly planted trees.
Against chamois and mouflon it doesn't work very well though. Probably due to being based on lanolin.
I know this isn't the forum, but I would love an open conversation regarding whether we have taken things a step too far on the commercialisation of game shooting and how we wind it back from the "game shooting industry" ( an expression that boils my blood) to game shooting and sport. Charlie and the clever people in the Team, have you any ideas how we can facilitate that, even in the members only forum?

Good shooting.We need to learn fro. Europe. We probably have the worst fallow management standards in the world. We really need to pull together and and not fight amongst ourselves. If we don't improve we will end up with big brother and legislation dumped on us.

It's a lot easier for Sweeden to be pro hunting and offer fantastic shooting when their landmass is twice the size of the UK with 12% of the UKs population......
We have strict regulations and laws for hunting and preservation.
Game is regulated & overwatched by Naturvårdsverket administrative authority.
It's not easy to find hunting areas as a hunter with no hunting heritage
But it do help that 80% are accepting hunting of the population.
