He is such a good pony. I don't think that I would have cut his mane, but I don't know nothing about taking care of a horse so maybe it is for his own good you take such good care of Tucker. I see how much you two love each other.❤. I love watching and learning from your videos.
As a Shire owner, you'll never see my horses with clipped ANYTHING. Tail to the ground, mane to the tip of the nose with all whiskers . I trim Feltlock to 1inch off the ground to avoid wicking
The car looks so super cute! I wondered why his chest was shaved in a few of the other videos I hadn't watched this one yet LOL. I like a roached Mane I think it looks nice!
Sadly i don't actually own a horse but i take lessons once a week. I find your videos very entertaining and helpful. Thank you, and keep up the good work! :)
Can you do a video of how to teach a horse how to be good taking a bath my horses hate baths and I can never get them rinsed off because they hate water on them
In Argentina for polo horses or horses that work with cattle we use a special type of scissors called "tijera de tusar" (very similar to those that are used for cutting bushes) that makes an even cut and leaves the mane really short! I love to see other techniques to it
Hey! I've started loaning a horse she is very disrespectful, strong, wants to gallop all the time and won't listen to my aids she has recently had a foal. she also bucks when your going in to canter transition, she is rode in a bit less bridle because she can't use a bit, Do you have any tips? :) (this is my first horse I've loaned/owned so I'm new to this but I have rode for many years)
@@CarmellaAbel Yeah I do love the mohawk, but everyone keeps telling me it wouldn't look good on a TB. I'm really tempted to try and prove them wrong, but am afraid I'll just be proving myself to be a fool if it does look bad...
Ok, I'm a total newb but a curious one. When you give a horse a bath, do you use straight cold water from the hose or is there a water heater in the barn to warm it up? And BTW, I like the crew cut. 😉
I have always loved the name tucker and it’s funny because where I ride there’s this horse called tucker who is a red roan and he’s darker than tucker. I’ve noticed that horses that are like your horse and the horse at the place where I ride are called tucker because is seams to be a popular name. Also Love your videos ❤️❤️🐴🐴❤️❤️
I've only recently gotten back to riding after say 5 years. Any tips on how to mount western preferably without a mounting block and when you have barely no upper body strength?
Get on the side of the horse that is easiest for you (for me I use my right leg in the stirrup to get on). Put your foot in the stirrup and do a couple little bounces to get some momentum. Use the horn and your momentum to swing your leg over. If that's not enough, work on the strength needed to mount by either using a block, a fence, a rock, or a barrel or something. Nothing wrong with getting a little help to mount if you need it.
I have a question doesn’t it take really long for a horse main to grow back I heard it can take years for a main to grow back? I’m always scared to cut my horses main because of this
WHY? would you cut his mane off? Now he has no protection from fly's & sunburn, etc. and you shave his legs and feet?? What about his natural drip line. Poison in the mud? LOL come on!! Cut YOUR hair off for no reason. Poor horse don't have a chance for a humans ignorance.
She clearly says that she is trimming his mane and such so when it becomes hot outside, or after riding him and he is all sweaty and hot, it will help release any heat from under his coat. She trimmed the front of him, between his front legs because that's normally where a lot of heat builds up. Shes still able to put his blanket on with no problem. I know your comment was a while ago, but in case you still don't know why.
Have you gone to veterinarian school? Do you think they would approve of what you were doing that it’s healthy? Because all I see is someone who is ignorant giving lots of people false information!
I've never been a fan of a roached main , however it does look pretty good on Tucker ... Think it was that or be patient and let it grow out a foot or more . Not a fan of that bib cut though . I use my horses in the winter and sometimes they get a little sweaty . Never would l deprive them of their winter coat . However they live outside with a leanto for shelter.
Shave the forelock! I think it'll look better! But you did good! (I mean I know nothing about horse-grooming, but you had fun while you did it which means you did good!) I think once the mane grows a tiny bit he'll look suuuper handsome :D
Denise Timpani, Again i think Tucker looks adorable with his new cut. I'm in Coeur d'Alene ID. I started riding again so I'm catching up on what and what not to do. Thank you 😊.
@@brynnamiller7688 Awesome! I'll be looking for Volunteer work hopefully in the spring. Hopefully i can put fellers out for my pony at that time. Do you have a horse? And maybe know if anyone is looking for help.

I love this video! You did really good on clipping around his chest for the first time! I live in Oklahoma and my horse is already growing a winter coat so maybe I’ll research clipping him. Also you should totally ride western one day
7:30 Ayayay😱Just use a guard for the length u want and hold it flat to the skin, it has that flat head for a reason😬 It'll be a lot easier and look better. Oh and always go against the grain. (Source: cutting my own undercut every month and haven't messed it up yet😂Well except for 1 or 2 accidental tiny strands but it's because I can't see anything at the back😬)
There is a lot of pressure in my barn on me to clip my horse for winter. I didn't grow up with clipping horses and find this a very foreign idea. But I feel as if my barn colleagues are going to call animal protection on me if I don't clip my horse this winter.
Nobody can force you what you so for your horse. Just listen to your heart, you know your horse the best! And I also never clip my horse. She lives outside and we go for rides.
Early! I love u so much I clicked faster then Tucker can learn more tricks! I love tucker so much, I would like to do a zoom collab interview with you, this is my daughters account but I want to ask you some questions, email me if you would like to carry on!
