Now, I have ridden a 2016 IC CE before and I noticed the engine sounded a bit different. It was a Cummins instead of MAXXFORCE. We usually stick to MAXXFORCE engines in buses at our school.
Thanks for the comment! My district used to order new buses with Maxxforce DTs through 2011-2015. After that they had issues with keeping them running so we only have 3 buses now with Maxxforces. We had one bus get auctioned off and it had to stay in its parking spot until the winning bidder tow it out since the motor was basically ruined lol
Thanks for the comment! The 2016 I ride only has its engine fan kick on in the afternoon right after its startup. Though it turns off shortly but that fan sounds awesome! I will try to record it

Sounds exactly like the bus I drive. I love the deep low tone. Especially since I can go full throttle anywhere which is a plus to me.

The valvetrain gears are much louder on this Cummins than my bus.
Yeah it is a bit louder than the other Cummins CEs we have. Loving these 2016s!

Almost exactly like my 2016 Ic CE. The fan runs a lot on mine when the temperature is above 65 degrees.
