Groeten.

I’m really enjoying following along with your progress on your wonderful journey. The structure of your house is really taking shape and looking so nice. Well done. Owner building is a tiring and extremely rewarding way to build one’s home on an interesting life journey. So nice to see the rewards you are reaping from your garden too😀❤️😀

It’s not easy to provide a commentary on such a massive project and remain personable, informative, and never boring, but you deliver it in spades!
Everything you both achieve with the occasional extra hands is done with love and care and an absolute joy to watch.

This is a fantastuc channel. In many aspects of building growing etc. But addad to that it really reads like a story in that she lets you follow the process. UNLIKE many other channels....who jump from one project to another. She really is a great storyteller.

I agree. Her voice is soothing and she has a great story telling tone. She could probably get work as a professional narrator in Hollywood. I’m so glad we get to enjoy her.

Thank you both for sharing your courageous and creative journey….I LOVE watching your videos….you two both touch my heart deeply….the way you “dance” with each other…the love and care….your joy…enthusiasm…your love for the natural world…..the peacefulness in the rhythm of these videos…the beautiful music….the beauty you so flowingly create….and the realness around the hardships of the journey too….I was so sorry to learn that the little dachshund…NUB ?…was put on a leash and can no longer visit with you….so sad….
My husband and I are off on a similar adventure…building passive solar and gardens off grid…..although we are in our seventies….so don't have all the strength in the bodies anymore….but we still are so drawn to do this and the land is there….so we are loving this generous and precious inspiration from you both…and leaning much as well….Cant wait to start the hugel garden!….What is the “fabric you use under your pathways??…some kind of weed suppresser??…..would love to know…….And sending lots of love to you both and looking forward to more…💕💕🌷🐣🙏🏡🐇 Nidhi

Hi guys!!!!! I love the channel and the way u are building up viibema!!! Since long time i want to do the same buy some land and buil my own house in bioconstruction and have a beautiful garden like yours!!! U are such an inspiration!! I have a question i hope u can answer: what about the legal part? I mean paperwork building permission ,do u need an arquitect to review the project of the house ... all the Not Fun part of the project!!! 😂 maybe u can do a video about it?
And thank u for your beautiful art!!!! U inspiring me to try different tecniques!!!!
All the best guys keep making Dreams come true❤

In short, if you're not living in a restricted area, you can build up to 20m2 without having to do any paperwork. Up to 60m2 you will need to do a notice and have some technical drawings- but no need for an architect as far as I know unless it goes above 60m2

You guys are doing great!! I've build my own house with strowbales. If I can give you some advice, if it's not to late: trim the walls with a chainsaw (electric), it is easier and faster; put some chalc (kalk) in the plaster, it will kill little seeds and insects. We didn't do that and during our first spring, weeds were growing on the walls ;-) And it would have been a good idea to wrap the first layer of bales with musquito gaze to keep the mouse out. These little animals will get inside your walls to find a warm place to nest.
It's not to criticize, you guys are doing great!! Good luck!

Hi there, I watched your videos on building a passive solar strawbale greenhouse and a cob chicken coop , I was interested in doing something similar but on a much smaller scale, 8ft by 8ft. I was wondering whether drainage rubble trenches were still necessary in this case as they would take up a lot of the small space. Thank you so much!

Thanks for watching! Glad you're going to building yourself, I warn you that building with earth can be addictive :) For the cabin we used a post and beam foundation, (treated wooden beams with rocks around, here is some more information :countryplans.com/foundation/ ) It depends your conditions on what suits best for you.

I’m waiting your video every month :) congratulations with house! Now be honest and tell as in the future videos what temperature will be inside in the cold (-10 C) winter morning. It would be very helpful for others I think, because usually other people has tendency to lie about such uncomfortable things :) thanks and good luck

Haha, I will promise to be honest ! I'm more worried about over-heating perhaps at the moment, but let'see :) The rocket mass cookstove we're planning on is indeed designed to radiate heat in the space for a long time so I will update on efficiency of this space with that :) Hope to not need so much wood

@@BrendaLelie Lovely that it works so good for you! We have build one before with a barrel and had troubles with getting our bench heated without completely overheating our small space at the time :p Now we're planning building this one and I'm very curious how it will work out
