It's acrylic yarn.
I do not know what I am doing wrong, but mine is turning out super small using 4 weight yarn and the 3.5 hook, ugh
Thank you for this tutorial!! I used 8 mm yarn and 8 mm hook, basket turned out quite big (≈12 sm), and it looks SO cool!! But the tail keeps falling :(
You can make a separate tail with the same pattern as the tail part, then sew it to the tail that is attached to the basket. Maybe that will work

Is the hook size the recommend size for the yarn you are using? If I want use a weighted 4 yarn, would I still want to use the 3.5 or the hook recommend for that yarn? Thank you!
The hook size is written on the yarn label. Sorry but I don't know what hook size is good for that size of yarn you have.

Hi! What kind of yarn are you using?
I used 3.5 mm hook and a yarn that is suitable for this size of hook. There wasn't any information on the yarn label.
This was really fun, thanks for sharing? The tail keeps falling over on mine. Has anyone tried putting some extra stitches in the base to help it stand up?
I'm happy you liked it💛 You can pull out the thin wire inside a face mask (on the nose) and put it in the tail and shape it. but be careful because the wire would be pointy.
I use white glue with water mix well look on you tube it will give you the know how and dip the cat in squeeze of access ,shape it around a jam jar until it all hardens ,
