- Why Are Premier League Teams Struggling to Play Against Brentford?
Teams that just got promoted to the Premier League are usually top table teams’ favorite places to go. And it is understandable. They don’t have very strong teams and are usually less experienced in the top flight.
But this season, and almost every other Premier League season to be fair, there is one newly-promoted side that plays surprisingly good football and gives big teams a really tough time.
Remember when it was Stoke City about a decade ago? Then Burnley a few years ago. Wolves in 2018. Sheffield United in 2019. Leeds last season… And so far this season, it has been Brentford.
This is Brentford’s first ever season in the English top flight, but they are playing like they have been around the block for years. If there is one word you can use to describe how they play, it is fearless.
An opening fixture in the league coming against a newly-promoted side is usually good news for any top flight club. And perhaps Arsenal thought it was for them until the game actually began. They were outclassed and outplayed.
And with just their first game, Thomas Frank and his energetic Brentford side had already announced themselves to the league they had fought for years to be a part of.
They did not only announce themselves as the new boys, they announced themselves as a team to be very afraid of.
And over the following weeks, they managed to further instill fear in the clubs coming to play them.

I watched a game (in the stadium) in i think 2018 or 19 where my local team that is in the vanarama, drew 3-3 with brentford. Now in 2021 i watch them on tv drawing 3-3 with liverpool.

As an American, I've been following West Ham for 10 years. Watching promotion has been fantastic for keeping the competition fresh and based on results. The only issue I see with newly promoted sides is that they loose steam physically in January. Also remember that Prem teams haven't played Brentford often so they don't know their players well. You could say the same for Leeds when they came up. It will come down to injuries and stamina. The Championship isn't the Prem from that perspective.

@@davelash8699 Manchester United used to be the greatest team from 1992-2013, They also are the most supported team in the world with over 650 Millions fans across the world. But their current form is super terrible, since 2014 they haven't won any major trophies.
At the moment, Manchester City (Arch Nemesis of Manchester United) and Liverpool are the most consistent team in the Premier League.

It's wasn't Brentfords first season in the top flight of English football, it was the first time since 46-47 season but we have never played in the premier League. Apart from that good video I gave it a like

Because they have got nothing to lose. Much later mid season, lack of squad depth and fatigue will take its toll. The season is a long marathon. Their behaviour is good so they can scare teams

The squad that played Burnley is weaker than the Brentford squad that started in the championship.
Unfortunately probably the most underrated Brentford player, the goalkeeper is going to be out for 5 months with a knee injury. He was essential to Brentfords attack.
@@mrwabbit9576 well part of what makes a good team is having a good squad is not just a first 11.A good bench is what makes you win the league or survive relegation.Most teams have injuries at the moment including Chelsea who are top of the league without 5 first team players.
@@prospershambare7883 its impossible for newly promoted teams to have the depth you'd expect from an established PL team.Not financially possible.
Also, to even have a decent starting 11 on Saturday required a lot of depth, that's 6 players you need to find replacements for who will be competitive. Probably the biggest issue for Brentford was just the goalkeeper not being up to standard.
The rest weren't good but they weren't terrible either, then ghoddos comes on and scores off the bench.

2 goalkeeper errors!.. 1 massive the other little smaller but still. It came from there backup keeper. With there first well injuried. That keeper would that game most likely only ended 2-1 at most 😂 but also remember they are promotion side and after 10 rounds this was there first game where things just did not workout for them...
