Just so you know, the tabs on a 2016 Fusion are hard plastic, not soft plastic. Lifting up the tabs as shown will snap the tab off. I learned this on the first one. And after the top three are done, the mirror has a 4th tab on the bottom, so one has to somehow wiggle the casing off very careful or it too will snap off, just like it did for me. And the is another 1/2 tab on the windshield side as well. Just an FYI.
Thanks, this helps a lot, I went to go put led puddle lights in mine and I pulled one of the wires out of the connector and I can’t get enough grip on the wire to pull it out to crimp on a new connector

I have a 2020 ford fusion energi hybrid..the plastic cover and frame has been badly cracked ...bought replacements...got mirror off ..easily...the plastic just fell apart...got 3 screws out but 1 screw is in opposite direction...just a tiny piece of plastic still attached. How can I get it out? then...I can put the 2 new cover and frame in..reattach the wires to the mirror....
I need to find out how to replace the black frame part of the driver side mirror. I've managed to get the mirror mostly disassembled but can't figure out how to reach one of the screws. Do you have a video showing a total disassemble of the driver mirror?
My cover doesn’t come all the way off, it seems like it’s being held on at the lower (inside) corner ( on the door side). Is there another clip to push or something other than the 3 along he top? The light along the side of the mirror assembly got broken in a car wash and I’m tryin to replace it. Seems like I may have to take the lower cover off too? Any ideas? Thanks!
***** WARNING ***** Do not follow this video. Along with the three tabs on top, there is a fourth one about 2" in underneath that must be pressed upwards to release the bottom of the cover. The reason Nick's comes off so easily is he's already broken his. Once broken, the cover becomes dangerously easy to remove and can simply be pulled off - Expect it to fall off and as such needs replacing. I found this out the hard way! Don't be like myself and Nick.

where did you get the glass that has the BLIS and the convex mirror? I don't know why manufacturers don't do that more often, it makes so much sense.

Does anyone know if the 2017 is already wired for BLIS and heated mirrors? Mine didn't come with it, but I'd like to add it.
You will need new door harness and you will have to wire the blis module from scratch the module is not pre-wired on the car

There kinda like a retainer tab that pop off but no tab to release it you have to kinda work it out after you get the three tabs on top disengage
