Nice job repairing it. I would have hit the connections with a blast of contact cleaner while I was in there. That's a good rotary tool.

I'm tempted to try a trick i've seen on one of these.
It's basically a light dimmer switch in-line of the power supply, with that in place I'll be able to electrical tape over both switches on the dremmel to stop dirt ingress and wear. Then use the dimmer to control on/off & variable speed. I saw it used on single speed drills.

good to watch as normal . just a little thing when you get another one please dont forget to take the cardboard off the plug as it does make thing run hotter and before I had my health issues my work was maintenance on property . It will either cause a fire or burn your socket

I’ve got a Silverline one that was cheap and that has been used to do jobs it was never designed for. Had it at least 5 years now and it just keeps on going.

The blue wire wrapped around a ferrite core that sits on top of a moving pot and a loose connection, just the movement of the speed control would of been enough to dislodge it

Your videos on this tool convinced me to give it a go. Need one for some PC Case modding. Does it come with good metal cutting wheels or bits? I need something to cut sheet metal and file it down so it doesn't cut fingers or wires.

I've burnt out 2 Dremels on the same job (cutting plastic) I have got myself a 3rd Dremel now but if that one gets burnt out I'll not get another, if these do the job well enough then if they are cheaper gotta be better value for money! :-)

Go to Walmart get there 1.5 amp it's the dremel 4000 competition. Is like 18 dollars or 20. And comes with 105 pieces. Spare brushes etc. And 2 year warranty. Jus keep your receipt and you go to the service desk and go get the next one. You can even buy extended warranty but for the next two years burn it up another one is free. I always take mine apart and grease the bearings. Sealed bearing arnt really sealed.

Mine has started to play up. Have used for only 5hours. My wire same as yours was barely connected to. I fully clipped it on myself but the speed still goes down every 10 seconds then picks back up.

Hi, I have opened my new tasp rotary tool and it's a 130w version 10-30k rpm but it has no plug!
What amp 3 pin UK plug would I need for this tool please?
Thank you in advance and subbed...love anything to do with restoration and power tools ☺️✌️

That is odd as it is not legal to sell electrical goods without plugs fitted. As I am no expert in electronics, I really do not feel like I should answer that due to the safety issues.

My CBR 125 '08 doesn't come with a Kill Switch, so I order one but have no Idea how to wire it up. If you search 'How to wire a Kill Switch to Motorcycle' you will get 100 videos from India, and the ones that speak english either don't explain fully which wires to intercept or it's just replacing an existing switch. CAN YOU PLEASE MAKE A VIDEO 'HOW TO WIRE A KILL SWITCH' Thanks a lot if you can, Have a good day. Jim
