österreich specifically is the guitarist of the cabs (who was most likely the lyricist and the composer of the majority of songs) called Kunimitsu Takahashi. He invites people to record the songs with him but otherwise he like composes and writes everything himself. There are some live performances on österreich official youtube and imo they are worth checking out (Kunimitsu will be the guitarist with the glasses). The singer in this is Ai Kamano and her voice is beautifull.
I really enjoy his music due to the instrumentation. It feels like it has multiple layers that you can dissect over time, especially with this project because he has access to more than just 1 drum, 1 bass and himself as the guitarist.
The lyrics usually feel more like a poem that describes a certain feeling rather than posing a clear message or having a clear story. This song feels full of regret is the best I can explain it.
Usually it will have tones of depression, regret, love or the absence of love.
The feeling you said at the end where you just close your eyes and basically just enjoy the song is actually what I like to see from you reacting to especially these songs. I feel like its usually the intention of such a layered song to get you to be carried away.
Im going to do the same as I did with the cabs last time and just recommend you some songs by österreich.
-きみを連れてゆく (I'll take you everywhere) sung by Mei Konno. i love this song and I have some theories on what it talks about.
-遺体 (dearly departed) a song from the new record , has a music video, sung by Mei Konno again but has backing vocals from all the 3 usual singers. one of the songs where i can see a clear event in my mind that it describes and why the music video is what it is.
-Swandviemori - iirc I already recommended this but im just gonna put it here, sung by Mizuki lida, frontman of cinema staff
-無能 (Incompetence) - the song that basically brought kunimitsu /österreich back to making music after the cabs disbanded, was the 2nd opening of the show Tokyo Ghoul and written specifically for it as request by the author since he really liked the cabs. him and kunimitsu are friends now. sung by Ai Kamano
-楽園の君 (You of Paradise) the 4th and last ending to Tokyo Ghoul, sung by Mizuki Iida
- 動物寓意譚 (Bestiary) sung by both Mizuki Iida and Ai Kamano. Kunimitsu described wanting to write a darker "I can show you the world" lol
Ah I see where I went wrong 😅 Thank you for clarifying!
I often feel like I HAVE to talk and dissect songs, but with these two bands, I really just can't help but drift away, so I'll probably stop forcing myself to pause and repeat the same things over and over from now on 😅
Thank you, I've taken a note of the recommendations! I believe Swandivemori is the next song actually! I'm hoping to get it out tonight if my schedule works out! :)
Once again, thank you so much for all the time you put into your comments. I really appreciate them ❤️
@@TheToaster1155 i think you are already doing well by actually skipping back 5 seconds after pauses to regain the momentum the track built right before you paused which a bunch of people dont do (whick sucks imo because the momentum aspect is good and letting a song flow to get maximum enjoyment).
With these sorts of tracks I thing you'd do well explaining what kinds of feelings you get from the music and what you like about the song itself on a technical aspect (like you are already doing, pointing out the piano or the guitar shredding). Of course its gonna be harder to explain especially for mathrock-type tracks when a lot is going on.
Im just glad to talk about and recommend these songs because I usually dont get the chance to do so due to how niche these bands are.
Good day to you.
Thank you ^-^ sure thing, I'll simply try and stress less about explaining, and more-so focus on just enjoying the music and going over the intricacies involved with what's going on. So not much will change honestly, but I'll probably just make sure I'm really absorbing the music and giving my thoughts, rather than trying to force myself to come up with something to say in the first place 😅
I hope you have a great day too!
P.S. Swandivemori should be public in a couple hours 🫡
@@zakki9491 You seem to know the band quite a lot, do you happen to know who the vocalist is on several songs (swandemori, rakuen no kimi, 動物寓意譚) I've tried for quite a lot now to find his name but no avail. HIs voice is so soothing
@@MrMusicCreators mizuki lida. Hes the singer for " cinema staff". Kunimitsu actually composed a few songs for them. A big one is "Shayo"
