österreich/kunimitsu commented on the song saying he wanted to write a dark version of "A Whole New World".
After thinking about it for a LONG time and analysing each lyric, I think i get the song. And yeah its dark.
The song can also mean "Zoological Tale" so likely the story of a life.
The song seems to be about someone witnessing a death (possibly of a loved one) and the meaning of a life cut short:
    Verse 1
The first verse seem to be a cryptic way of describing someone dying.
"The red light resembles blood" seems to be the statement setting the tone, immediatly putting death into your head, also likely describing a sunset which fits into the theme of something ending, its also likely the time of day the main character witnesses the death.
"The catalyst meshes all colours together and pours it into all you once were (or pours it int the end of a tale, the translation is hard here)" the catalyst is death, mixing up everything the person once was into one, basically just a corpse now
"the sun was bright" - describing the sun again and likely the scenery
"in the end nothing is left while we've been solving puzzles" - life ends without meaning despite us trying to build one throughout our life
"the ghost was captured, jumped over the margins (blank spaces between words) and ran away into the punctuation" seems to be a fancy way of describing the end of a tale
"I hear your bookmark, echoeing, appearing to have no page to put it in made" - the bookmark seems to have no meaning or purpose to it so you cant know where to place it in someones story
"the sound of illness, echoeing, drying up. Without reason, without form" - alluding to meaningless death again
    Verse 2
This verse seems to describe the actual events of the death
"The witness stand is filled with sand, your eyes protuding meeting the ruin of what you once were (or meeting the end)" - the person seems to have died alone on a beach since only sand was there to witness it so you dont know why they died
"the sun was an illusion" - referring to the sun in verse 1, maybe alluding to fake meaning
"In the end no one answers while you've been quizzing me" - i say you instead of we since it seems to make more sense to have this song from the "I" perspective here. The main character and the person that died weren't finished talking since their life was cut short, so the main character is missing answers to things they need to know.
"the ghost slips into the water at the entrance of the sea" - describing the beach again
"it jumped over the electrocardiagram and fled into the margins"- the hearbeat of the dying person is slowing down
"your heartbeat gets blurry without any sight to take it back" - no hope for revival
"I stood there, with thin legs staying upright. Trampling down as if overflowing" - This definetly reveals the first person perspective of the song. The person is angry and sad at the death.
    End part
"No matter how far I traced back, Its always out of reach" - the meaning they are looking for is always out of reach while they are looking for the answers they didnt get. (the "even if it follows" in the video seems wrong, its more accuratly translated to "in every nook and cranny" , so basically someone looking for smth)
"In spring days, summer days, autumn days, winter days. Ill see the same things
In joy, sorrow, sympathy and frustration. Theyll be put in the same place
Ill always look at the same things forever until I get tired of it" - the person will always be searching for the reason why this happened and for the meaning of it all no matter what happens with them.
    So yeah this is dark.

Oh wow! I am amazed that you managed to break down so many of the lines! True dedication right there!
Thank you so much! You really put it into perspective, and I can definitely see what you mean now. I love that it still sounds so beautiful and melodic, despite the fact that it is so dark!
Such an amazing song, I am going to re-listen to it while reading everything you mentioned! Thanks for all the effort, as always, the support you have given me :) I really appreciate all the time you put into your comments!
