Hello, sir. I recently installed LED on my 2014 ford ranger and low beam isn't working on high beam! Please help if you have knowledge on why the low beam isnt working. I'll be grateful. Thank you
Nice job. But I heard that the led bulbs can get hot and melt the housing. Looks like your bulbs don’t have fans to cool down. Btw I’m trying an h15 replacement on my Ford Edge sport 2018.
good day sir.. your video is very informative. i order some led sets from a australain comp. and im wondering if the fog lights led i ordered is correct H8 with fan heat sink. my worries is that it migth not fit.
I've ordered some H8's as well for the Fogs but haven't managed to fit them yet because I've broken my wrist. Should fit though as I looked at the gap before I ordered
Theres a stopper in the fog lights housing, just choose a smaller fan, im sure it will fit. I will try to install different model and will try to suggest which one fits.
good day again sir.. first of all, hows your wrist? hope your doing fine. anyways, just had my leds the other day and tried to install the H15 led. i have a small issue with the plastic bracket. it seems like it wont fit. and had grind off a bit of the plastic. but no luck. P.S for those who are interested in LED conversion kit for the ford ranger wildtrak. check out www.stedi.com.au/
Not to ruin the party here but the low beam H11 LED bulb is a mess, the halogen looked brighter and wider. This is common issue with LED bulbs. I suggest you get an h11b HID kit with canbus cancellers. I have these on my 2018 Ford Ranger and its the best setup Ive had so far. The cut off of the stock projectors work well with HID as the beam pattern is wide with good cutoff.
Agreed that the HID would be better, disagree that the original, 8 candle power halogens looked brighter (because if they did, I'd have swapped back), but you have the additional cost and additional complications of fitting. However, I am now considering.....
@@CloughReviews yeah you are probably right but the stock ones make use of the wide beam pattern vs the LEDs so they appear better to me. The HID though is miles brighter and has a hint of blue in the cutoff which gives it an oem look
Hello I own 2017 ranger Xlt and I had the same problem when replacing the H15 bulbs. The only way to fit those LEDs into the headlight assembly is cutting a small part around the bulb cap. After installing the bulb close the cap and apply some tape over the cutted area in order to make it watertight.
Hi! H15 is for DRL and high beam? And H11 is for low beam and fog lamps? I really thought high beam has hb3 socket. Please enlighten me. And thanks for the very informative video! 🙂
Hi Cris, Nope, Definately H15 on my 2017 Ranger for the high beam. Also, I am waiting to install LED's in the Fog lights but my wrist is broken at the moment and in a cast, I'm sure that I looked before I broke it and they where H8's Also, I have W6W LED's to go in the side lights.
Not the best regarding brightness (on a par probably with the tungsten), but better because of the light colour. A real shame that there is no space in the housing for an LED with a fan.
The h15 I got only seem to sit into the slot one way, the way it sits into the assembly it only points up and blinds everyone .. any ideas? They are drl and high beams
Do these lights negatively affect drivers of other cars coming past you? For example are they too bright or the are light beams spread too wide or high?
IF ANYONE IS WATCHING,THESE H15 are out there but finding the right one is really hell, wish he gave more info on where to get one and watts, need name of some suppliers, also a follow up on how this unit worked for him,lol
Fitted these to my Discovery Sport yesterday. My god they took some fettling to get them to fit properly. Not impressed with the DRL brightness but the full beam seems ok.
Dear, I’ve seen you made the same mistake as me. The issue you overlooked (as me) is inside the bulb, in the design of the high beam strand. If you look inside of the original h15 bulb, you will see a small reflective part below the high beam strand. The efect of it is to reflect high beam light to upside and avoid the light going to the sides. Just the bulbs you (and me) installed doesn’t send the light to up, only to sides. The efect is to have a beam scattering for the high beam. At the moment all LED bulbs with this small reflector have a big size due the fan and/or other cooling systems. If you look for offers of LED H15 with DLR/High Beam and find someone so small to fit in the bulb holder, please, let me know. If I find and test it, I will let you know. Thanks for this great video.

Have you check condition of housing & cap whether it is still fine after months? Is there any problem you have after changed? Thank you.
Hi Atsawin, no problem with the bulbs working during the day as they run on reduced power on daylight, full power on full beam. The housing is fine. It's a shame you can't fit a bulb with a heat sink as it would be brighter but the white light is good 👍😁

Question: U said the H15 with fan led can’t fit into the headlight assembly? I mean did u test installing the H15 led with fan to the headlight b4? Bcoz 1 of my fren did installed the fan led H15
Rangers high beam sits on top of 2 and 10 O'clock side of the housing not in dead center, the stock even hardly fits, thats why most h15 with fan wont fit. If you have H15 with small fan and a wired connector to the socket, maybe that will fit.
