⚠️ Active volcano! Turrialba Volcano | Costa Rican 4K

Turrialba Volcano is an active volcanic cone, located in the canton of Turrialba, in the province of Cartago, Costa Rica. Its summit is located at an altitude of 3340 meters above sea level, it is the second highest volcano in Costa Rica, surpassed only by its close neighbor the Irazú Volcano.
Since 2007 the volcano has increased its fumarolic activity, being visible from all its surroundings and burning the vegetation to the northwest, due to acid rain. In 2015 the Turrialba Volcano had an intense activity ending the life of the forest on the west face of the volcano, an area that today is known as burned forest... and from what we heard there are tours that lead to the crater passing through this forest that It gets a bit apocalyptic.
The beautiful views that you will find will captivate you all the way, the area around the volcano offers an incredible and relaxing landscape, for us it was a wonderful experience to find this incredible place, we recommend that if you are ever in the area visit this volcano , not only is it beautiful, but you won't experience the crowds that you would in other more popular places in Costa Rica. Although the route has its drawbacks, the Turrialba Volcano is something worth admiring and represents an excellent option to get to know the area.

Hola. Dieron información muy valiosa en este video. En CR es muy importante saber el estado de las carreteras, todo el mundo te dice que "la carretera está buena" 😅, y el viaje se vuelve caótico si el carro no es el adecuado. Gracias por mostrarlo y los consejos ❤.
