Capela's more valuable than he's credited for. #1 in Off. Rebs, #9 in total Rebs, #14 in doubles ..etc,... etc. Scorings not a problem. Last season, Trae & Murray combined for 71 in a single game. We won't give up 65/70 % of our offense. For unproven misfits. Just cause media bobbleheads speculate & like to push false narratives about Murray & Trae. This coach hasn't adjusted his game to maximize our talent yet. He wiil this season or else. Sarr is the cross breed rim runner stretch & shot blocker that will make the difference. We're not rebuilding. Or doing dumb trades. There's only 3 or 4 free agents worth even considering. No worth while trades but a handful. Hawks didn't bite at the deadline or after. One correction, Trae is much better at the midrange than at the rim. His shot diet under Quinn Snyder limits his midrange attempts as Snyder pushes shooting threes. This happened with Murray and will happen if Ingram comes too. It’s a philosophical commitment from the head coach.

Alex Sarr should replace Capela, DJ doesn't love ATL like Trae and although I think DeAndre Hunter will keep getting better he's a ball stopper on both ends of the floor and more on the side we don't need it on at times. Herbert Jones would be a solid replacement and Brandon Ingram is a real 2 over DJ. Larry Nance is like a poor man's John Collins and wouldn't hurt. I would agree that definitely should be the starters although positions may vary.

@@chazgoat6939 every player has their strengths and weaknesses. Trae’s not a great defender,but he’s been working on it, and it shows. On the plus side, he is a crutch player who can score and feed his teammates. Considering Hawks not having too many players who can create their own shots, Trae would be a better option to build this team around. When we got DJ, he was supposed to be good enough in defense to cover Trae’s short coming. DJ is a great player, but his defense didn’t go so well. Many say his defensive skills were overstated. There are ton of good players that lacks defense but they succeed by putting good compatible players around them. (i.e. Luka, Brunson). Adding Sarr and perhaps BI can make this team better. Maybe not championship material better, but enough to convince its FO and owner to open up their wallets to adding another star player to the mix. I do think Jalen Johnson can really step up this season, and Sarr and Onkongwu can stretch the floor without crowding the paint. I also think Mo Gueye has some rebounding potential to help in the paint. Sarr, Okongwu, Jalen, BI, Sarr are all decent defenders. If we can add a big defensive back up center that can help against other strong centers this team would significantly improve. Sarr is not much of rebounder, but more of a blocker. Just like what we saw with Wemby, such blocker stops shot attempts in the paint and forces the ball out to perimeter. Players like BI, Jalen, Hunter can really shine as perimeter defenders. The fact that Sarr is fast enough to cover both is a big plus. Hawks, like Mavs, should keep an eye out for 3 and D players, who can catch and shoot.

Alex Sarr should replace Capela, DJ doesn't love ATL like Trae and although I think DeAndre Hunter will keep getting better he's a ball stopper on both ends of the floor and more on the side we don't need it on at times. Herbert Jones would be a solid replacement and Brandon Ingram is a real 2 over DJ. Larry Nance is like a poor man's John Collins and wouldn't hurt.

He is the number one defense liability in the league. If he has a off night offensively there is no other aspect of his game that can make up for it.

@@chazgoat6939 every player has their strengths and weaknesses. Trae’s not a great defender,but he’s been working on it, and it shows. On the plus side, he is a crutch player who can score and feed his teammates. Considering Hawks not having too many players who can create their own shots, Trae would be a better option to build this team around. When we got DJ, he was supposed to be good enough in defense to cover Trae’s short coming. DJ is a great player, but his defense didn’t go so well. Many say his defensive skills were overstated. There are ton of good players that lacks defense but they succeed by putting good compatible players around them. (i.e. Luka, Brunson). Adding Sarr and perhaps BI can make this team better. Maybe not championship material better, but enough to convince its FO and owner to open up their wallets to adding another star player to the mix. I do think Jalen Johnson can really step up this season, and Sarr and Onkongwu can stretch the floor without crowding the paint. I also think Mo Gueye has some rebounding potential to help in the paint. Sarr, Okongwu, Jalen, BI, Sarr are all decent defenders. If we can add a big defensive back up center that can help against other strong centers this team would significantly improve. Sarr is not much of rebounder, but more of a blocker. Just like what we saw with Wemby, such blocker stops shot attempts in the paint and forces the ball out to perimeter. Players like BI, Jalen, Hunter can really shine as perimeter defenders. The fact that Sarr is fast enough to cover both is a big plus. Hawks, like Mavs, should keep an eye out for 3 and D players, who can catch and shoot.
