Palette is evolved from homebody signal and mish-mash live, contents from iu after she moved to Edam, also when pandemic hit south korea (and world) in 2020 - 2021 This palette name idea is taken from other music talkshow like this in KBS, yoo hee yeol's sketchbook (and lee sora's proposal before). Now that program is changed name into The Seasons, with the host changed every season. The format is basically the same : talk and singing.
Yay! I’m happy you’ll be watching the Palette episodes from the start! From me being able to relive it again, it will be wonderful to witness you watch it all for the first time. First episode was one of my favorites & you’ll discover more of IU’s personality from the show alone. It’s rare to watch her perform “Love of B” nowadays from her masterpiece & critically acclaimed album “Modern Times,” so that was a treat to hear. Sadly not a lot of guests have covered songs from that album on Palette (maybe because they’re difficult), but it’s one of.. if not her best.
Her starting by saying '51.6 MHz' is a little joke. She's making believe she's doing a radio broadcast (that would be the radio frequency) but 51.6 is referencing her birthday, May 16.
