He gets the team to the playoffs in the first year and you have a bad year you get fired? WTH.
He got them to the playoffs year two. Year one they were basement dwellers. Time is of the essence. If they want people to stay interested, they have to win. Not necessarily win it all, but have a winning season.
A bunch of players said they didn't want to play for him in their exit interviews. Easier to replace one guy than a bunch of guys.
There was an interview with Jordan Eberle on local radio today and he said re: the report from ESPN about Hakstol being fired: “I was extremely disappointed [with the report]. By no means did anybody go in with an ultimatum”.
