Just want to say that I have followed the Wrynns all my life. Varian's sacrife broke my heart but as an Alliance, will not let his sacrifice go in vain, and I'll follow King Anduin just like I followed Varian to the very gates of hell.
The Ghost Wolf will never leave us. When things are at their darkest both Hord adn Alliance will hear the rallying howl and be filled with courage and power through hope. Through that howl we shall prevail, for Heroes Never truly die!
We never fought alongside Varian at the Broken Shore... Varian Died under the sea. On that day we fought alongside the Ghost Wolf, the man who said in no uncertain terms. "Not the Defias, not the Naga, nor the fiery lords of the Burning Legion shall keep me from my people." The Ghost Wolf shall rise again my brothers and sisters of the Alliance.
Silver River "Bows" in honour of the fallen king who shall rise again whether in spirit or truly rise again. (As an aside I think it would actually be kinda cool if he did come back, "I told you even the lords of the legion would not keep me away")
Agreed, if Varian came back, even as a spirit or something like that, It'd be awesome. If he truly came back, I think Anduin would be like, "Thank the light... I have someone to guide be through this..." Either way, it'd be awesome.
Silver River I actually think it'd be an interesting dynamic between anduin and Varian because Varian from what I saw embraced his warrior side, on the Broken Shore . if he does return he won't be leading the Alliance. He'll be rising as a lone warrior, probably fighting back to back with Broll and valeera (or at least that's what I want because god dammit I want the crimson ring champions back together again)
You forget one small detail about him from the novel Wolfheart, he is... THE AVATAR OF GOLDRINN!! He is bound to the Emerald Dream! :D So Cenarius could possibly ressurect him easily as the Wolf he was known as all along!
The song is beautiful, and it's sad to be reminded that varian sacrificed himself so that others could live on. He died a hero, and for that, will be remembered.
This is an amazing piece of art. Each verse captured the pain accumulated from the destruction of the Legion's invasion. Each note was hit perfectly, and I couldn't help but shed tears over this. Most of all, I enjoy the perspective this was written in. Add that with your gorgeous voice, Sharm, and amazing things happen. Yep, this is my new favorite WoW related song.
It is now Nov in 2017 and Blizzcon premiered the cinematic for the future xpac. I have mourned Varian in all the days. But I come back to this video with a sense of joy, for at long last, Anduin is king...For the Alliance!

I've been alliance since day 1. Took a break from end of Wrath to last November. So much lore to catch up on. Watching Varian die was definitely a gut-punch. I've been a fan of the WCverse since the days of WC2: Tides of Darkness, and while my heart holds Arthas as the greatest character in the lore, Varian was there since my first days of TBC. The missing King who was abducted and returned later and took his people to new heights. I've seen this cinematic so many times and it always gets me. I saw your Arthas/Jaina song earlier and that hit me in the feels too, it's a double whammy if you've done the questline for Shadowmourne and get all those knick-knacks off Arthas at the end. And yet, this song made me cry. I cried all through the song, and I'm crying even now as I type this. Well done.
I didn't see it on the first viewing and the song does not make much sense without that explanation. I'm not ready to accept Anduin as king. This song makes the transition a little more palatable.

Let me start out by saying that I never really played any of the other expansion that much through. I usually just got to the max level and lost interest, so what I'm about to say might just be because I never really got into the game properly. BUT! I really just love this expansion, because it makes everything so personal. Usually, the end-game bosses just feel like another enemy I have to defeat. But in this, I feel like I need to push through to avenge the fallen. Varian, Vol'jin, Cenarius, Ysera, many other, even lesser characters like Runas in Azshara. All of these tragic incidents makes me truly passionately burn with desire to destroy my enemies. And even casual players can get to enjoy taking part in this avenging, since practiacally anyone can beat LFR content, even if LFR is usually delayed And we get unique weapons that are actually truly legendary, not just by stat. We literally have legends about them we can read in our order hall. Along with having proper order halls fitting the class instead of just garrisons, and a few champions with some depth to them instead of all those champions from dreanor, it really does feel like the character is more unique and personal. Also, QUESTING AS LOW ILVL IN SURAMAR CITY MAKES MY RAGE BURN EVEN MORE! AND THAT IS NO ILLUSION!
Sharm only thing that annoys me slightly is, that I don't even feel like the words I've written does the expansion justice. I feel like the expansion deserves more tribute than what my words have given it. I guess there's only so much that text can do. Which is why I love that so many artist like you guys and other musicians or painters or the like all make this art to honor the game and even enhance it so

On of my alts found Varian's compass in the waters off the Broken Shore. The compass unlocks a quest chain that focuses on Anduin and includes a heart-wrenching cinematic. I followed through the quests with great trepidation, not trusting Blizzard, thinking they might turn the knife in the wound. This song of yours played in my mind throughout. Perhaps you would do a remake of the song video with clips from the compass quests and cinematic. I wish there was more material available on Tiffin. I agree with your song. Tiffin needs to be included in the advent of the young king's reign.
Oh god yeah that compass quest was agonizing! Rowan did such an amazing song including Tiffin's POV in the lyrics, I could never have written a song like that!

GoT can get away with the arbitrary slaughter of central characters because it is a finite story. Azeroth is not. At least we have Varian's sword. I went looking for it afterward. It is not visible at the memorial or in the keep. I would assume Anduin put it away somewhere. There are some suspicious looking human remains where the sword was found, a skull, a scrap of armor, a shard of bone, lying in a patch of fel. If that is what I think it is, I wish Velen had collected it all and placed it in the crypt.

I am primarily an alliance player but I totally agree with you, I do not want to see the dark lady killed anymore than I want to see lady jaina killed but I fear the worst, I for one know the truth about the shore battle and the real reason the horde left, it was not treachery, it was not abandonment, there was no malice intended, they were ambushed from behind, their leaders wounded or killed and sylvanas had no choice but to retreat in order to save what horde forces she could, I did the scenario on both factions so I know the truth, there is way too much faction hatred among the players already, we dont need more hype and false rumors.

Baine FTW .... one of the better points of Before the Storm, they are friends and Anduin trusts him so it makes sense they would communicate about what happened ... also in there he has a face to face with Sylvanas and actually surprises the banshee by asking about it ... so much she actually answers somewhat honestly :D

I am primarily an alliance player but I totally agree with you, I do not want to see the dark lady killed anymore than I want to see lady jaina killed but I fear the worst, I for one know the truth about the shore battle and the real reason the horde left, it was not treachery, it was not abandonment, there was no malice intended, they were ambushed from behind, their leaders wounded or killed and sylvanas had no choice but to retreat in order to save what horde forces she could, I did the scenario on both factions so I know the truth, there is way
too much faction hatred among the players already, we dont need more hype and false rumors.
@@delilahmills7192 Thankfully Anduin actually was told about this ... Baine FTW .... one of the better points of Before the Storm, they are friends and Anduin trusts him so it makes sense they would communicate about what happened ... also in there he has a face to face with Sylvanas and actually surprises the banshee by asking about it ... so much she actually answers somewhat honestly :D

I play draenei but I love the Horde more than Alliance ... but Varian was one of my favorite leaders together with Velen, Vol'jin, Sylvanas and now Anduin.
