the mic drop MAMA 2017 performance is definitely worth watching live
The funny thing is that really only Jimin and J-Hope had dancing back grounds. And while JK and V took to dancing pretty quickly, Jin, RM, and Suga couldn't even dance at first. They all worked their asses off to get where they are now. Literally Blood Sweat and Tears.💜
Suga had a bit of a background in dancing. He used to b-boy when he did underground. He just stopped after his accident.
Prior to debut they actually sent JK to LA for a dance boot camp. No way he could be a center and be a weak dancer.
Suga had background in dancing he would B-boy but he hurt his shoulder before debut so we never got to see his dance skills unfortunately
So glad you like this guys.
Also you have to remember that this was put out in 2017.....and it's still spectacular today!!
When you see others dance on reviews, it's today in 2023 and these guys were doing these great moves and songs 7 years ago!!!

As you can see from the title, this version of choreography was for an award show. One of their best performances. I also like their performances of this song at the SNL and at the Busan concert. They opened the Busan concert with this story song, followed by "Run BTS". Spectacular.
It's one of my favorite performances!! If you come across choreo that's a little different than M/V they are most likely for live performances. That's what this was!!
even just the turns going into formations, BTS is really legends in that alone.

You should watch a Live performance of Mic Drop…The one from the Busan concert in South Korea is amazing..the member you keep noticing flipping his hair is named V…They call him King of Fancams..he is well known to be one of K-pop’s most charismatic stage performers…but they are all very talented and so synchronized as a group…Please watch “Run BTS” song dance practice and then watch back to back Live performance of Mic Drop and Run BTS song at the Busan Concert…They were the 2 opening songs at the concert…🔥😍💜

For this dance rehearsal they were using their KOREAN version which was for the MAMA 2017 in Hong Kong and/or Seoul (if im not mistaken).

(Still waiting on that Agust d Haegam dance practice to be honest 😅) but they also have the behind the scenes video or making every music video that shows how they did things and they explain some things about the meaning of the song and concept of the video. I haven’t seen any reactors reacting to behind the scenes of music videos. It would be awesome if you include that after watching the music video and dance practice.

fyi Mic Drop has 3 versions, namely the English version (MV), the Korean version and the Japanese version. so don't be surprised when you hear this song sometimes it sounds a bit different.for dance practice this is the Korean version. and the MV that you watch is the English version.
Actually, I think this dance practice video is the Japanese version of their 2017 MAMA performance held in Yokohama, Japan 🤔💜

MAMA 2017 was held over 3 days, in Hong Kong, Vietnam and Japan. You may be right but the language sounds Japanese and this same version is on my BTS the Best Japanese CD, which is why I thought so🤷♀️💜
You got the dance practice for a award show. So that's a special performance and i think that's original song.
The award show they performed this in they did it this in full black suits and ties it was so incredible. Although FYI MAMA award show is one of the most likely to block you FYI.

For some reason on this song I find my eyes keep going to JK a lot of the time.

Not sure if you know (or as men care 😂), but he has been named the most handsome man in the 🌎 for several years, and I read an article where plastic surgeons said he is the number one celebrity that clients want to look like. And somehow it hasn’t seemed to go to his head.
I Love ALL your reactions but this was my favorite just because of the transitions and and the fact that your reaction was the same as mine when I first watched it…. I had to pause and say ‘wait a minute, where all these other people come from!?!?’ …. I was so focused on the group I didn’t realize the other dancers had stepped on the scene lbvvs….Being a former dancer, this choreography had me so hyped, I was dancing and tryna do the moves from beginning to end😂 When you come from a hip hop dancing background you can’t help but to feel the energy and try to emulate it…. I wonder if you’re former or current dancers yourselves (?) because you definitely GET IT….Keep doing what you’re doing!!!!
