It's weird but it seems like it's getting harder and harder to find good asmr these days so I'm Glad this got recommended. This is really good especially for a first video!
I think it's because newer and smaller channels make better ASMR imo. I find that when channels get really big and mainstream, they end up focusing more on production and editing over the actual ASMR which makes it feel more like a far less natural, over produced, over edited ASMR movie.
@@Bumbum_Inspector I think it depends on the channel but I do somewhat agree. Like there are some big channels that no matter how good their production got their content was still the best like Heather Feather and GentleWhispering but otherwise I agree.
Some better quality mics also produce too much bass which is the opposite of what you want for asmr especially if you're wearing headphones.
The other thing is the triggers people use, some of them are just annoying and don't trigger asmr at all. Whispering always works tho but it seems a lot have got bored of it and started doing other triggers
Like finger rubbing or whatever sometimes gives me goosebumps lol and a lot of channels do that

@@HugoStiglitz88 i like “bass”... makes a fuller sound. The mics don’t matter as much, it’s more how they’re used & treated.
@@DreErdna bass is not good for triggering asmr. It's too abrasive. Thats why low fi asmr is popular. It does a better job triggering asmr
The mic does matter as well. Unless you use a high pass filter or an eq, some mics are gonna have too much low end. Also depends on how close they are to the mic as well
Of course if you're not using headphones or good speakers ,it doesn't really matter but if you are, too much bass ruins the Whispers ability to trigger asmr. It's like the difference between a tickle and a scratch
Your excitement to share the triggers was palpable, really enjoyable video.
This is so calming. Great first start! 😴

You'are super!
Hi, instantly subscribed. I have a question. I really want to start an ASMR channel and just got the Blue Yeti X for Christmas. I know little to nothing about audio engineering. What software are you using to record your audio and what settings? If you don't mind me asking. It would help me out greatly.
I’m using Audacity to record, very simple software for free!! You have to make sure to record stereo if you want to use the typical binaural sound. There’s a bunch of different settings on the mic for sound. I’m using one of the very outer setting which enables the binaural thing. Just try with headphones and see what you like!!:)
@@ninasmr Thank you for the response. I need to play around with Audacity and the mic a bit more.
