    I've watched about a dozen vids like this today and all were "Technical" and tryin' to sell me kit... Thankfully somebody explained it step by step and showed with/without HSS (which I don't have and as an amateur, don't wanna buy)... Genuine thanks. New Sub ;-)

    I’ve watched others try to give this tutorial but this one helped me. Simple advice - expose for the ambient before introducing the flash !!!! Great advice.

    Finally someone that discusses their exposure. This is so so needed. Thank you. I have assumed that you were going 1-2 stops underexposed but its nice to see verification. Most others demonstrating the Sony/Godox union like Jason L. never give you useful details.

    Iv'e watched a number of your tuts but somehow missed this one. This is exactly how I do HHS. I have seen all the different methods used and have tried many. Coming from a film background this is the quickest and best way to get proper exposure

    Rewatched both videos on off camera flash and like always man you always come through clutch. Setting up for ambient light will help a lot. You the best. Your presets are the best as well bro. Hope you making a new pack soon.

    A third way to balance the flash with ambiant is to use neutral density filters (3, 4, 5 stops down). An economic way to use your old material not compatible to HSS...
    Your video is quite to the point and very clear and demonstrative. It gives me the taste to upgrade my Flash/Camera system! Thank you very much.

    Nice to be able to see the results of your settings and adjust them. With film, you had to use light meter on the flash to do the same thing.

    Great video! Plenty of average photographers on here but I am impressed with your work. Technical skills are on point and I like that you shot some 125th at 4.0 because the average joe might not have high speed sync. The model was perfect, gorgeous and experienced...and a sense of humor. Always a plus 😀🙏

    Good video. The only difference I use and recommend is that I meter for the background WITHOUT the subject or model in the view. There is a possibility that the ambient light on the subject, and what they are wearing, might give a skewed effect on the internal light meter. Give it a try.
