On the Nord Piano 5 the layers are accessed with the "Layer A/B" buttons similar to the Stage 3. We first saw the faders on the Wave 2 and since then they've been implementing on their new releases.
For Nord, I say get a Stage 4 Compact and pair it with the SL88Grand for weighted keys for piano and Rhodes. Especially since the stage series has multiple output routing.
@@hlcotten6587 in my opinion, the keybed on the 76 & 88 key versions just don’t feel right for my playing style. Too light when I dig in. The sounds are amazing, the workflow okay. I like the waterfall for synth and organ. I’ll midi the rest to my SL88Grand
There is some overlap as you mentioned, but its where you focus on main use case of Piano, Organ or Electro keys as your core sound with the additional capabilities. For me I picked up their Nord Wave 2 because it was on a sae, but I always wanted a Nord Stage Piano, but the Korg/Roland Jupiter can cover the piano pieces for me at a lower price point.
I’m hoping for the Electro 7 as well! I have the HP…I love it, but the action is way too clunky and causes hand fatigue. So I’m hoping they replace it with the new TP-110 action, which I hear is a vast improvement. I would go up to the Stage, but I have a bad back and have to keep the weight down.
No idea why they don't include standard mod and pitch wheels with all their rather expensive keyboards, so you could use them as proper masterkeyboards as well.
In my opinion the Nord Piano line is the most pointless line up when you could get an Studiologic SL88 Grand midi controller for even cheaper with a better keybed. The Nord Grand should replace the Piano series, they should have the Nord Stage series as the flagship and have the Electro like what the Yamaha MODX is to the Montage.

Hmm….Great idea…. I have a Nord Electro 6D at this time. I’m looking to purchase the Nord Stage 4 in the coming months.

Piano 5 had the panel A and B thing that the Stage has but you’d have to change to each panel just to adjust the volume.
That's what I thought...the time I played it I only used the piano and that was it

why NORD don't put a proper size screen on their keyboards?

I'd still be fine with the rack version of the original Nord Electro 🙂

I disagree I love my piano 5 73 weighted keys, nobody lugging a nord grand around
@ I am.
NORD STAGE is not a workstation.
So sorry for those who buy these things. They become obsolete, so soon.
