    I do all you show ; but the best for an eye set is to get it the way you want it when you tuck it . Going back and retucking kinda break's the glue bond . Light shaping works best .

    You have compelled me to switch to Pro 1 hide paste. Is this the same stuff you are using on your ear liners?

    What do you do if the inner ear is torn? The deer had sores from ticks in the inner ears and looked bad. when I was separating the ears they tore and fell apart. How can this be fixed? Can you take a peace of hide from the under belly back by the nuts and stich it in ?? or glue it to the plastic ear liner ??? John W

    • @thecedarridgechronicles
      @thecedarridgechronicles  Год назад

      Ok. I would glue it directly to the earliner the best you can and try to keep the pieces left flat against the liner. After it dries, flock it with white flocking material. I believe this will get you taken care of

    I just realized that after mounting my deer I made one of the nostril a little bigger than the other. What’s your recommendations on this? Everything is already dried. Can I rehydrate just the nose and add apoxie ? Thanks

    How about the clay drying process? Same theory? Also, once you add clay to the eyes, face ect how long do you have or how long should you wait to mount the cape? Thank you

    • @thecedarridgechronicles
      @thecedarridgechronicles  Год назад +1

      Mount everything immediately as possible. You don't want clay to dry before mounting or it will break into pieces and cannot be shaped. The bag does prevent the clay from drying as fast, and helps if you need time to finish details a day or so later.

    Great video , I bag them til next day instead of staying up so late . I think another video would be how to get so much detail in the neck . I know you had the face detail one . Every does it differently so why not show the neck and shoulder muscular .
