Can't wait to pick up an english wheel, but I'm building a planishing hammer first. Get yourself an inner tube or rubber band for the top wheel on the english wheel, it prevents stretching when you're only looking for a nice smooth arch.
Those little tools your dad made are pretty cool. I think I would opt for using tipping dies in a bead roller or a brake haha.

Heck ya that will be cool. Yes I Doo need a rubber band for the wheel and I'm hoping I'll have some tipping dies soon.

Just came from HF, looking at getting an english wheel. Downfall is HF doesn't sell all the anvils with there's. Still may purchase it and get dies from Eastwood. I'm thinking 🤔 great video!

The yellow frame, the top wheel and one bottom wheel. Be sure and do your research on the wheels. That's the biggest issue right now is actually finding a company who has the wheels in stock. Harbor freight at the time wasn't carrying the wheels any more and I had to buy mine through summit. You maybe able the check back with harbor freight and the maybe making them again.

You do need good heavy caster wheels to lock it down to the floor or anchor it down it's very top heavy. The English wheel likes to move around with ya.

The problem is when you need to bend over curves. The English wheel can bend over those tricky rounded corners. But yes pan break bender is awesome for straight bends.
