    There's two other ways you can dribble faster
    1. Stand on a chair(or anything at least one foot in the air) and dribble the ball on the ground. After a few minutes when you come back down on the floor you're gonna feel like the ball is bouncing much harder. The thing is, the higher the platform, the stronger your dribble will be back on normal height, but you have less control.
    2. Wrap the ball in a plastic bag. The famous kyrie drill. This doesn't do as much as the first to help you dribble faster, but when you dribble with a bag around the ball you'll get much more control with the ball, which can allow you to dribble faster.

    Hey coach I need some advice. I'm trying out for varsity and I'm tired of riding the bench so I'm trying to do everything I can to transform my game. Would weightlifting benefit me or is there anything else I could do?

    • @Strickayy
      @Strickayy 7 лет назад +2

      CHEN weightlifting is part of basketball and part of the next step look at the college players going to the NBA. they always need to gain or lose weight and go to the gym
      just remember that. and while your at keep on grinding

    • @faceless-x-abberation8400
      @faceless-x-abberation8400 4 года назад

      I think it would for sure, but it would benefit you more or less depending on your position, your play style and your general strengths and weaknesses. If you’re a center/power forward and focus on the paint- rebounding, posting up etc then weightlifting would be more of a benefit. Are you a shooting guard that runs around cutting or coming off screens trying to get open? Maybe not so much. It really just depends on whether or not the way you’re playing or trying to play would benefit from having more strength or not. Just remember that a lot of the time having more bulk and strength comes at the cost of less speed and stamina. Keep these things in mind. Good luck!

    Ik this is not relevant to this video but, why is Stephen currys shot so aesthetic

    • @highlightcomps
      @highlightcomps 7 лет назад +44

      I think because its a very fluid one motion, quick release shot that seems nearly effortless and add to the fact that it's very accurate which is why people just love it so much

    • @leroyglam3920
      @leroyglam3920 7 лет назад +17

      HighlightComps: I agree. In addition to having one smooth motion whereby he transfers power from his feet through his body, Steph is also a turn shooter. So he has a very relaxed, natural, "effortless" motion - and natural alignment to keep his shot in direction. One motion shooting really does make more sense for most folks. If you want to swing a golf club for maximum power and accuracy, you wouldn't want hitches, right? You'd want a smooth transfer of momentum in the direction you want the ball to go. Same thing with shooting a basketball. Steph does that better than everyone else in the league.

      honestly, if you have a friend who could film you shooting do that. Review the video of all the times you made the 3; look at the release point, how high you jumped, and how much bend at the knee. Compare them across the board and work on perfecting that form.
