Thanks for singing this old song so beautifully. This was one of my father’s favorite songs. He passed away at the age of 35, when I was only 12 years old.

My mother studied music in college and learned to sing in an operatic style. The good thing about that was that she could project her voice well enough to be heard by thousands of people in large auditoriums but the tone of her voice when she was singing--especially in public--was much different than the tone of her speaking voice at home. Even as a child, I thought of her "singing voice" as contrived. When I was about thirteen, a girl about my age moved to our town in Iowa, U.S.A. Her voice was higher-pitched than yours but your voice reminds me of that young girl's voice--not contrived at all!! When my mother heard the girl sing, she, too was impressed. My mom's response was, "Now if she could just get some training!" I was appalled. In the name of all that is holy, please keep singing just as you do now. Your sweet voice is such a blessing!
