A tea tree oil cream, applied twice daily for one month, has been shown to be effective in relieving symptoms of athlete's foot. Lice. Research hasn't shown tea tree oil used in its pure form or in combination with other antifungal therapies to be effective in treating toenail fungus.
Yes the oil from the melaleuca tree is called tea tree oil. And it is a very big business in Australia. And we have many different types of melaleuca trees in Australia. And we also make eucalyptus oil too. Fair Dinkum Aussie medications.
We have 5 of these trees in my yard and they look wonderful, kept the hurricane winds at bay and off our house, I love the smell ad the bee's love the flowers
Tea tree oil is super expensive yet this is a invasive plant? People are strange animals. Why not harvest this plants healing properties instead of killing them?
Fantastic presentation, Mr. Brown. I'm an Aussie, and I apologise for the introduction of this species to Florida.
Apologize for something you had nothing to do with? Something so prosperous and beneficial for us! C'mon man! Lol
As always - Mr. Brown - informative and entertaining. Thank you.
I wonder if they can use they can plant it in Kiribati? The sinking islands in the south pacific...?

Typical Aussie specie. Like Eucalyptus does in California, being aggressive and soaking up all the water and else.
I am not understanding. Why do people want to get rid of these?

palms do a better job at keeping hurricane winds at bay, and all palm flowers attract tons of bees.
do you realize that this tree has many medicinal properties, and those trees can be put to good use instead of killing them
The melaleuca killing all the native plants in the area.
