In today's video I will be showing you how to test hair samples or your bundles. Its very common that many companies will mislabel their products as 100% unprocessed human hair, so I am now here with a fool proof testing system that can help you determine if you truly did purchase 100% unprocessed human hair.
Tests:
Smell test: what does it smell like?
Filler test: are there filler hairs?
Luster test
Curl pattern test: is it a manmade texture or natural?
Filler hairs vs. Gray hairs
burn test: Does it turn into ash or melt like plastic?
bleach test: Can it be bleached?

I put a perm/relaxer on some bundles and chile let me tell U All of the plastic hair literally was like bubble gum when I pulled it..I never seen nothin like it..So the hair was probably blending..😂
Thank you for this. I just checked my vanity box hair and it passed the burn test (even the “gray” hair I found) I already know it past the heat/styling test. It doesn’t matt up from past experience. It actually was really good lasting. Still, I don’t care to reuse hair. But it never reverted back to waves. BUT not sure if that’s because of my biweekly trips to the Dominican salons for wash and sets. I’ll see this time around. But their hair definitely isn’t raw and it definitely has a corn chip smell.

I'm quite confused about a headband wig I've received (kinky straight texture, "natural colour" noted as 100%"virgin hair“) all the strands I picked up in different parts of the wig to burn turned into ash, but when you see the global hair itself, it has many strands in way lighter color and a lot grey or white hair. Don't know if I have to keep and tint it or return it 🤷🏾♀️ Wdyt about it please?

I’m confused. When I looked up Remy VS Non Remy human hair it made it seem like it all was human hair but from different people. Is the hair you’re testing Remy hair or 100% human hair from one person?
remy hair is the type of hair which has all of its cuticle aligned with the same direction, so they will not to be tangle. Remy hair and non-remy hair come from many people

Can I use this for white hair. My is generally thin and doesn’t grow hardly at all.

Lol sorry I meant I’m white with straight hair . Sometimes we don’t use the same products on our hair . I was wondering if it make my hair grow. I barely grows. Like an inch nothing helps.
What if the neutralizing shampoo turns yellow??
You want the water to run clear! If it’s clear this is proof that it has not been processed.
If it isn’t clear chances are it has been processed. I recommend checking the direction label on the shampoo to confirm what color the shampoo will turn if hair is processed
And the plastic hair doesn't go up into flames like it would when burning human hair.

Jessica Lee hey! I do not believe any hair placed in water will turn into ash. Let’s take a look at synthetic braiding hair. Boiling hot water is used to seal the ends of synthetic braiding hair and it doesn’t actually burn the hair. However when burned with a flame synthetic hair doesn’t turn into ash. Instead it melts like plastic. Now, It is possible that processed hair could turn to ash once burned. If it does that is an indication that you are dealing with human hair and not mixed synthetic fibers. You may also find that after burning your processed hair it melts like plastic, this indicating that there are synthetic fibers mixed throughout the bundle. I hope this answers your question!
