It's because you are sensitive to the validation of others, which means your ego won't even allow you to do this incase you suck. Your ego wants to continue thinking that you are a good puncher
I've gotten 830, it's funny seeing really big muscle guys acting so tough etc but it really is your body, fist, rotation etc that makes the punch matter
Twisting my hip and rotating my shoulder at the same tip without having to wind up gave me (837) 6’2 185lbs 2nd time I wind up the punch and I ended up hitting lower than expected (740) had doubts about the machine and tried a 3rd time same technique with same timing (879) best I ever hit so it really matters a lot on the joint coordination
I think what it is is that there is a sensor at the top which measures the speed that the punching bag is going at then calculates the strength. Basically it is all about hitting it in the right spot, which is a little lower than the middle and hit downwards
Surpassingly some of these machines do let the owners change the difficulty but still an extremely good punch and all in the rotation usually with a normal punch as in a fast jab id get around 500 but with a full body swing i got to around 700 on hard difficulty

Every machine is different, some machines it's extremely hard to get 900 or high 800s. 944 is good on the machine you punched. My buddy who is skinny hit a 997 on a punching machine but he knew how to box.
I went to an arcade where every guy hit 750-790 bulky fat thin athletic so i assume either none knew how to punch or it was a hard machine, it was in a mostly japanese arcade thing i hit 864 i think i could go 900s but theese ar fun for party, but it doesnt measure your power or any fighting skills you have

Aint no way a 20-30yr old flexing for 920 im 14 and can easily get 950 every time ( record is 968 at this machine the bag was tougher tho ) and im not even that tall and heavy im 5’7-8 and 125lb (well built lol) and im the best amongst people my age around here i legit gotta compete with 20yr olds lol
@peachsplaytime821 That's on a different machine with a different scoring system. This is a 3-figure machine with a maximum score of 999. So this guy got 915 out of 999. It sounds like your Dad hit a machine with a 4-figure scoring system and got 6447 out of 9999.
Actually, your 668 might be higher on certain machines since they are all calibrated differently and some are just plain built differently. Like I once did one and got around a 690 but on a different machine I got around like 820 or something

@clm3888 Yeah, I'm pretty sure that they measure speed. As smaller pro fighters tend to get similar scores on these machines to the heavyweights, which would not be the case if they truly measured power. However speed is a half of power, as momentum = mass x velocity. So, if you increase your speed, then you increase your power.
These machines aren't even accurate, dont get why people post and brag about it. Lol. When i hit it, the entire machine shakes from the bag slamming back into it so hard.
The left Hand goes first and then you use that Momentum to throw the right one (if you dont train your fist though then you might Break your fingers, so he carefull if you try cause i almost lost my fingers 😅).
