Loved this tutorial!!!! Thank you for sharing!
Glad it was helpful!
Nicely done. I’m trying a bottled builder gel as an overlay so I can swap out nail manicured over my soft, thin natural nails. I thought a gel top coat was mandatory for wear but good to know that this one self levels enough that you don’t always have to use it to smooth everything out! Thanks for the thorough description of the process and I’ll be putting this on my wish list!
Thank you for this information. You explain really well. I almost think I can do this.
Thanks for these tips!
Love this tutorial
Very informative, I just recently ordered builder gel and needed a tutorial. Thank you!
Thank you so very much 💝🥰
Thank you ❤ love this
You're welcome 😊 thank you for watching!
My nails are all wonky, so it is hard to fit a form so it is snug and I have a lot of different forms. These look great, Carole. Nice tutorial
Are you better with the forms now? I'm having so much trouble myself 😭
@@ZeldaMontaigneNailKorner Nope and not even close
Super helpful! I struggle with nail forms...can't seem to get them to fit right
Hopefully this helps! 🥺 and sadly not all forms are created equal
Very informative. Thank you so much for your video. I struggle with paper forms, so I prefer using dual forms. Have you used them and if so, can you show us your technique?
I have and I’m still struggling with dual forms. I find that I need a much thicker builder gel in order to successfully use them. But I don’t like thicker builder gels 🥺
I tried it for the first time. I got the gel in the side walls. So do I just try to file it down there? Also, do I top it now with gel top coat if I want to just leave them? When I want to dip over, what do I remove the gel top coat, leave and dip over? I don’t see a video from gel base to final gel top over dip powder. Thank you 😀
Hi Carole! LOVE all your tutorials you've helped me so much!! Quick question for you: How do you take care of your builder gel brush applicator? Do i have to take the builder gel off after each mani, if so how?
Thanks a bunch!!!
Are you using a gel brush or the brush that comes in a bottle?
A gel brush.
Oh!!! I just saw that you already answered that question a while back. Thanks!!! You rock, and keep up the great work Carole!!! 😃😃
Thanks for this tutorial!! How do you go about removing the builder gel when it’s time to trim your nails for instance?? I’ve seen that it’s a lot harder and wondered if you had any tips!!
I have a nail drill, so I file down as much as I can. And it’s a soak off gel, so you can soak in acetone.
But I like using this gel remover instead.

Hi, I'm looking to do my own nails after 10+ years of acrylics!
I am a nail biter though, so your short nail technique really helped.
Product wise though, is there a reason you opted for a jar builder instead of a bottle for the short technique? I'm looking at Beetle's bottle to purchase but not sure if i should get a jar instead.
I find it easier for me to get the product out of a jar and I like the brushes that I buy separately better than the ones that come in the bottles 🥰💖
Great video and very informative. Why are your nails so red?
I briefly talked about it in my last video... 🥺 but I had bad anxiety the same week I did this video.😥 so I dealt with picking and nail biting and all the things. When I get bad anxiety I take it out on my fingers.
@@CaroleAnnette o ok. I 100% understand that. I do the same with my face. 😭🥺
How long do you let it sit upside down to self level?
No more than 30 seconds. 10-15 is usually good unless the room is cold and the gel is thicker, therefore moving slower.
What happens when this gets soaked in acetone when changing your manicure color, I’ll be using dip products. Will this come off the natural nail?
Yes it will - although not as quickly and easily. Builder gel is more difficult to soak than dip powder.
@@CaroleAnnette thank you for being so helpful!
How do you clean the builder gel brush?
I wipe mine on a paper towel that is drenched in rubbing alcohol.
@@CaroleAnnette awesome thank you!
