I remember hearing a story from like a rookie RB the patriots had drafted. He had asked McDaniels why he never yelled at white the same way he yelled at the other RB’s. McDaniels said that white was one of the only guys he could tell something to and be confident that he’d understand, interpret and apply it immediately. Josh said that if he told James what to look for on a specific play or how to read a defender in certain situations on the first day of training camp, James would carry it to the last snap of the last game of the season, with confidence. Dudes one of the most underrated RBs in the league, let alone on the pats roster.
First time i've seen this l didn't know James background but took notice of him his rookie year and saw tremendous potential as a very reliable back. l knew a breakout game was coming from him ..how awesome for him (and us) it was the Super Bowl! James you're a true hero
I love this guy !! I watch his videos over 199 times lol. I'm rooting for Ridley to get it together because he has power. Because this boy has north and south speed. In our offense he's gonna have so many holes and opportunities to make plays. I think Ridley is tooo flashy at times, that's why hefumbles. James just handle his business. I've never been this type of Pats team as a long time Pats fan. Our Defense, Young WRs, Brady.. Everyone getting healthy including Gronk and Vince. Gonna be a great year !!!
Eric Cartman True but Ridley fumbles came in very crucial times. And it's not like he fumbles once a year. He fumbled the ball 4 times lol. And the way he fumbles makes all Pats fan sick. Most of his turnovers come during unnecessary spin moves. But he's a very good player tho
The Uncle Drew and taking unnecessary contact. Just get down, who cares about a few extra yards when you already have the first down. It's better for the longevity of his career, safety of the ball, and most importantly for his health in his later years (the fumble when he got knocked out being a prime example of when to just get down). Plus he's just got to hold the ball high and tight; the spin moves don't bother me (even though I think if you're not moving laterally you're just wasting your time and the clock) as long as he stops caring the ball like a briefcase.
Dave Rogers Agreed ! I hope he learns from Blount. Blount didn't have wasted movement. If he just be himself and remember the fundamentals he'll be fine. I think he tries to run like Barry a lot of times instead of Steven
He just needs a true opportunity to shine in the pre season he is usually playing with the second unit and he never gets a true running lane. If the Pats can get him some room to run he can be pretty special almost just like dion lewis, but I was very disappointed watching the Giants game and he wasn't used as much as I thought he was going to be used but hopefully on Monday Night he shows us his true potential.
Great Video ***** Welcome to the Patriots James White.. Heard alot of good things about this RB. If he does good this year Bye Bye Steven "Fumblerooski" Ridley...
Gaffney pick up geared more at potential replacement for Ridley. Gaffney is a much bigger back (like Ridley). White is the most complete back on the team right now IMO. Massive opportunity this season.
Two different types of backs. He's closer to Shane Vereen. With the lack of TE depth this year, I'm thinking the offense goes to an extra WR set part of the time, and extra blocking lineman. Either way, Vereen and White are valuable. Also, if I may, the fumble thing on Ridley is a little overstated. Blount nearly lost as many (3, Ridley had 4) yet nobody says a word about it. A lot of really good players had at least 4 fumbles last season: Bush, Charles, Peterson, Morris, Spiller, Lynch. Luckily the coaches operate on logic over emotion, so our team isn't dumb enough to release a workhorse like Ridley. Guaran-frickin-teed the Jets, Dolphins and Bills would put claims in if we cut him - without hesitation. Heck I think at least half the league would; he's just not a guy you cut like that (which is why he won't be). He's coachable and in this case needs to be coached on two things: hold the ball high and tight, and don't take unnecessary hits (which resulted in one of those fumbles where he was knocked out).
Dave Rogers Agreed on more 3-4 WR sets and we've already seen the extra lineman being used in preseason games. Solder's being used as an extra TE (as he was in a few instances back in his rookie season). Fair points on Ridley and yes, he'd be claimed by at least half the league if the Pats released him, they're not, he's making the team. Having said that, I'm not a fan of Ridley's running style. Turns his back too often prior to being tackled which opens him up for backside tacklers to strip the ball from him (when he can't see it coming). White and Vereen are similar but White is a better between the tackle (traffic runner) than Vereen if you ask me. He's more suited to lining up in a single back set with Brady under center than Vereen. Vereen is best when Brady is lined up in the Gun (offset).
Agreed on Ridley. There are games where he doesn't try to get too fancy and just runs through the hole and gets what he can - those seem like his most effective games. I think his problem is patience; he's trying to make a big play out of a 3-5 yard run instead of taking what the defense gives and letting Brady/McDaniels adjust the run block the next play. I think Lynch used to play the same way and he's much better since learning to be patient and knowing that big 60 yard play can open up at any time. Also agreed on Vereen. I like him better offset as well.
Dave Rogers Yes, when he takes what's given he's a very effective downhill runner. Ok, Bolden, Gray and Finch. 1 is making the team, possibly two, but doubtful. I prefer Gray to Bolden but I'm a huge fan of Finch. Shaky first game but I think he's going to win out as the kick returner (Boyce is getting cut in my opinion) and have a role as a 3rd down back for a few plays a game. Fumbled badly in the first pre-season game but the guy has special abilities. Gray is a tough runner that I feel offers more overall than Bolden. No chance Finch or Gray gets through to practice squad if you ask me. Someone will grab them. Thoughts?
He's got better feet than Rice but not as much speed as rice had as a rookie. Some of the movies white made though.... Oh my gosh. Barry Esque. Not saying he's barry, but his footwork is incredible.
I really enjoyed this video. I gave it a thumbs up. There is a 2014 Wisconsin highlight video on my channel and if you could check it out and even give it a thumbs up that would be great. Thanks!
White was productive, but was nowhere near the talent of a guy like Melvin Gordon, that's why White was rarely talked about. Wisconsin produces productive RB's every year (Ron Dayne, Brian Calhoun, John Clay, Montee Ball, James White, Gordon, Corey Clement in the future) and White was maybe the least talented of all of them.
I'm not even a Wisconsin fan and I know White has always had to split time with other running backs like Monte Ball and Melvin Gordon yet he was still very productive so he definitely has talent. And I don't know what you mean by saying he never got much publicity because I heard more about him than Gordon last year. In the right system, this guy will produce.
One of the most underrated patriots of all time! Consistent, smart and clutch.
I remember hearing a story from like a rookie RB the patriots had drafted. He had asked McDaniels why he never yelled at white the same way he yelled at the other RB’s. He is one of the most elusive players ive seen
Fuck u
I broke both my ankles just watching this video. Really hoping White is the Vereen replacement we think he can be.
yup
He’s so much better than vereen
Wayyyyy bette than Vereen
2 superbowls later. Think we're ok bro
Vereen who?
I hope this guy shows up for the remainder of the season. Come on James White!!!!
+R.J Williams It'll be fun to watch!
+Kyle Beatty Dion Lewis is out so you'll be seeing a lot of him
First time i've seen this l didn't know James background but took notice of him his rookie year and saw tremendous potential as a very reliable back. l knew a breakout game was coming from him ..how awesome for him (and us) it was the Super Bowl! James you're a true hero
Love his running vision. Knows where to run the ball and be the most effective it looks like.
He really had a great career
I love this guy !! I watch his videos over 199 times lol. I'm rooting for Ridley to get it together because he has power. Because this boy has north and south speed. Jamal Charles and Alfred Morris fumbled more. Ridleys fumbles were more heard of cuz the patriots are talked about every day of every week.

+The Uncle Drew you definitely called that it was going to be a great year, even though white didn't play a snap all year
Wow. Simply Mesermizing to watch his adjustments at full speed to throw off incoming tackles.
Such a great highlight vid
great video..ratings going to fly offf the charts after the MVP performance. happy for mr white!!!!
Now he's a key piece in the Pats offense. Him and Michel make a great duo.
Such a unselfish RB!!

Love to watch his highlights. White's footwork is amazing. Plus, it's not a bad thing either to have those steamrollers up front.
I used him as my receiving back on Madden 15 and he's a beast!
Dude finally! Haha. I've been waiting forever for this!! Another great video man:)
Damn you have had this channel for Awhile
Crazy acceleration and change of direction
You always do such a great job with these videos!
Second that. If you're not bobbing your head to this beat and getting jacked for CF you're lost. Great clips, stats and team pride!! Tremendous.
+Amanda Jones sweet feet isn't that good tho
+Amanda Jones hate that nickname. Todd Gurley is better
+Tai Mai Shu u try to run all them touch downs than

3x super bowl champion
Think he only has 2 so far actually. Vereen was still the guy in 14.
Terrific balance, and open-field wiggle. White has so-so objective measurables, but his tape is pretty interesting.
A poor man's Barry Sanders. Great star-and-stop ability, with terrific acceleration, lateral moves and balance. Was a joy to watch for all four years.
He gotta great juke move
What Jamal Charles is in KC, this guy has the potential to be for my pats!
SUPERBOWL CHAMP
Superbowl champ 2 more times
Twice! And made it a third time!
AtGav.... Exactly why I'm here
He just needs to learn to lift his knees when he gets to the second level to really kick the speed in.
Been liking this nigga since college glad he got a championship
Hope he wins the third down role for pats this year.
The real superbowl MVP!!!!
Current reports from mini-camp say that he's in the lead for the third-down back starting spot :D
I believe that goes to by cousin Dion lewis.
Love the vid!
who else is a pats fan?
ME!
Congrats! I loved watching him on Saturday's and I think he is a nice match with Brady.
Even the Officials ankles got shook just watching him 0_0 0:52
He's gonna be a big time sleeper for fantasy football
PPR leagues, perhaps. Vereen would cut into his value though.
Good call!
That juke at 3:14 is crucial
The Patriots made a good choice drafting him.
Yep 3xSB Champ 2014 2016 2018
Damn Barry Sanders! ,just playin
Can you do one featuring both Gordon and White, show the highlights of their tandem in 2013?
He is a very good HB. But if he opened his stride up he'd be soo much faster.
He needs to be fast to score the touchdown or catch a football. Maybe 195 lbs. 5' 9'' Might be not good.
@@ettawing5955 Yeah about that

:50 THE REF FELL OVER!😂😂

Him and Cadet will share time on third down
And Bolden.
the ref fell at 0:52 hahahha
Has our key too beating the chiefs
Why was he a 4th round pick lol???
Combination of his 40 time and his overall size I believe.
Running backs are usually never picked very high unless they are EXTREMELY elite
oKing Flex exactly bro.
all the attention went toward Melvin Gordon.
Only 5' 10''.
He has fucking speed but whenever he gets shoelace takel he needs for pick up his knees and feet
Thats my cousin
0:46 XD the stupid ass ref falls over XD
No Deon Lewis.
It's James White time....
I'm 5'10, and 145 pounds is that good are bad
Ray Rice anybody?
He's got better feet than Rice but not as much speed as rice had as a rookie. Some of the movies white made though.... Oh my gosh. Barry Esque. Not saying he's barry, but his footwork is incredible.
