She and her cohorts also blatantly ignored Covid-19 regulations attending the funeral of an IRA terrorist when the streets were lined. Regrettably, I have been forced to the same conclusion. This King has a case of Stockholm Syndrome that spills over onto his family and the shared view of his suitability.
He has been soft on HM, relying on palace courtiers who are hopelessly out of touch with the Zeitgeist, acting and advising like old aristocracy, (whereas, on coronation populism and 'inclusiveness,' I'm not certain).
In turn, Prince William and Princess Catherine are put in untenable positions of having to deal with those miserable, narcissistic ingrates. Charles' actions and manner toward HM bespeak a revolting lack of concern for William's and Catherine's position, feelings and needs.
The coronation is primarily an event for and about the country, and not about family per se. He wants a pageant of wokeness and populism that degrades the solemnity and regality that are the essence of the coronation. He wants inclusive religiosity within the confines of Westminster Abbey, the Church of England and a ceremony which are all AVOWEDLY CHRISTIAN. He turns his back on and excludes the non-royal dukes, non-royal duchesses and the other aristocrats who helped bolster and morally support the Royal Family. And for the most part he continues with "Never complain, never explain."
Every single one of these decisions and actions is the exact opposite of what he should be doing. William and the Palace made a very bad decision re Lady Susan Hussey and that fraudster Marlene Headley (?) [Ngoze Fulani (?)]. However I am looking forward more to the coronation of King William V than to that of King Charles III.
Throughout his reign, Charles may continue showing kindness, but it accompanies his fundamental fear of and resistance to confrontation (sometimes a necessary part of life), and this will lead him to be perceived as weak by many people, as he already is.

Today people are being judged on what their great grandparents did over 100 years old. But that was then and why should that grandchild (or who ever) be blamed for what their great grand parent did over 100 years ago! The same can be said for the NI leader. If we are to all stay friends and to never repeat the things of the past. Then yes she should be invited (it's all political BS anyway). But then invite the late Queens bridesmaid also. The fact is the Abbey can accommodate both women, and the gesture would have been a kindness to Lady Pamela at her age and stature. She probably would have regretted due to the length of the service, so why not do the right thing and extend the invitation?

For Pete's Sakes don't 2nd guess! Use your common sense or better yet use your heart! Age is absolutely NO reason to not honor his Mother by inviting her friend & former bridesmaid. It's out of respect for his Mom. Whether she decides to come is totally up to her. The important thing is they're letting her know their friendship was valued and is being honored! That's a wonderful loving feeling for any 94yr old to receive!♥

@@soulsync8888 I absolutely believe you when you say she was looking forward to the coronation. I would be too! At that age, there's not much to look forward to for excitement. That's natural & understandable! Besides, inviting Lady Pamela is a lovely way to honor the memory of his Mother!
Charles, unlike his Mother, lived an over the top indulgent & extravagant lifestyle. A small, but telling example: whether he was visiting friends for the weekend or another country for a week, it's reported he'd moved his entire bedroom suite to his destination. His hosts needed to clear out the room he'd be staying in to make room for his own furniture.
I could be wrong, but I've always thought this pairing down of the Monarchy's spending & # family members involved might be more a reflection of or deflecting from his own personal jealousy of other family members & his over the top spending than anything else.
      I could be wrong, but I don't think so.🤣

I remember KC3's reaction when Lord Mountbatten was killed in Ireland, and have to say, 'how quickly they forget'! Prince Philip was a Mountbatten; half the RF children and grandchildren are named with the Mountbatten surnames. Has King Charles lost his mind? This is an unforgivable gaffe! Her response was gracious example of Noblesse Oblige... but accommodations should have been made, and they still can be. Mr. Dementia Biden isn't going, give Lady Hicks his seat! I am absolutely disgusted!

No they didn't. Ive studied a bit on Roman empire and and quite a bit lately on their conquest of Britain and their interactions with Ireland. And I've not come across such a statement. If I'm wrong send me a trustworthy link. And on a side note, why would you assume if your statement was true that it would've made a difference today. I think the Irish would've still regarded themselves independent from Britain anyway. The trouble today is not from Roman empire collapse rather the rise of a British empire. And invasion and plantation. Kind of like what both nations are experiencing today from un-veted illegal migrants. I'm sure you don't like what's happening there. Which in turn you can appreciate the sentiment from Ireland all these centuries..
