We had a bad mud hole in the drive on our property. Multiple attempts at drainage ditches, filling with dirt etc all failed. My wife researched and discovered "Barn Lime". It is just crushed limestone and costs about $5 for 50 lbs. We filled the hole AGAIN, and spread the Barn Lime on it. I'm no chemist, but that hardened the dirt to the point that now, when we drive over it, we don't even leave tire tracks. Water now runs off and down the drainage to the sides. Problem solved. Good luck.
@johnsteffel8879 wow great info! Thanks so much. We will definitely look into it! We have so many trouble spots that we are really just focusing on the most important right now. Thanks friends!!!
Maintaining trails is a lot of work forsure. I went to a camp where they had a large wood chipper and they went along their trails and chipped it all . About 6 inches of chips and it looked awesome and no more mud to deal with. Now they just top it up with chips every once in a while.
@SteveRobReviews absolutely that would look fantastic! We have over 2kms of trails and making more all the time. It will take time and lots of brush to accomplish that. We'll keep working away in between other projects. Good news is not all the trails are muddy! 😁 Thanks for watching! ✌️🇨🇦
Loved seeing the Moose you caught on camera, that was a good sized bull! Lots of trail maintenance but what a great time to work outdoors, I love the fall!
@MapleRidgeHomestead it's just so perfect! Been cold the last couple days but looking forward to some warmer temperatures next few days. Yes, that moose is gorgeous! Hope he sticks around and we find his sheds! Thanks for watching you two ✌️♥️🇨🇦🇺🇸
I'm getting a double feature tonight . That was a BIG Moose, and he liked the camera lol. That should help with the wet spots for sure. I was amazed how easily the backhoe connected to the tractor. It was pretty impressive on those stumps too. That last one had lots of deep roots . I think I'd check with GoPro on the warranty and if you have to tell them that you're going to preach about the service on RUclips LOL. Have a great week guys
Lol! I hadn't thought of that!!! Hahaha thanks Garry! Yeah that moose was massive! And looking very healthy. Would love to find his shed! Have a great rest of the week.
Hey Jason and Loretta , good video . That backhoe sure is handy . Nice trail maintenance . I would love to do a sticker swap with y’all . Have a great rest of your week .👍🏻
Hiya Del! That would be awesome! What's your email? I have to get new stickers. I have little ones, and not many left! But I have to send some out so may as well send another! Thanks so much for watching! ✌️🇨🇦🇺🇸♥️
2:37 I feel you - every time we turned around at the weekend, we found another dead tree!! 4:19 are Jason’s boots 12” long 😂 I was thrilled when I found my shoes were 12” long. Made life so much easier.
That moose was like hey! Are you talking about me?! 🤣 You guys sure have gotten a lot done on those trails. Sorry you're having so many issues with your camera. We had issues with GoPro too years ago. We switched to DJI. Hope you have a great weekend!
@@lorettaandjasonoffgrid Sure thing! They just came out with the newest one. I think it's 40 megapixel. Yes, I'm drooling lol. The Aurora comes to mind with that!
i like that the backhoe has its own pump system that makes it stand alone
@@TheRustyGarageandHomestead it's been a very handy tool!
