- David from MTB Fiend has recently came back from retirement and is making RUclips videos again. He hit me up early in the week and we had planned to hit Mt Wilson on Sunday. Than we got dumped with a ton of rain for 3 days and I found out Saturday night the shuttle wasn't going to run in the morning because the road to the top was closed due to snow. Pretty much most of the trails in So Cal were closed due to rain so I wasnt even sure if we were going to ride. I was at a wedding so I proceeded to drink. I got the text from David and Chris around 10pm that the plan was to ride Simi Valley in the morning. At that point I was already drunk and didn't use my best judgement so I continued to drink more. Ever since I started eating only One Meal A Day over 2 years ago I dont get to drink as much (about 5-6 times a year) so now a little goes a long way.
Somehow I was still able to wake up and make that long drive to Simi, Im glad I did because it was such a sick ride. We were afraid it would be muddy but the rain had drained and we had prime hero dirt!

How are the SoCal trails right now? I’m driving down to Irvine from OR this week for “work” and bringing a couple bikes. Hoping it doesn’t rain much so I can put these bikes to good use.

Finally got to ride these trails yesterday. GoPro does not do these trails justice. Dirty bird and G spot are fucking terrifying. Rode it solo, so had to eat my humble pie and pass up on half the features.
