You probably only know the BTS songs you heard on the radio or seen on TV, but actually they’re rooted in hip-hop and hard hitting/aggressive rapping is not unusual for those of us who listen to their catalog and their mix tapes especially early years of BTS (rappers: RM, Suga, & J-Hope). BTS started with the underground rap members and the group was completed with vocal members before they officially debuted.

Suga made the bit and asked PSY if he wanted the song made by him. PSY happily accepted because Suga is one of the best producers in South Korea. Suga composed the song, wrote lyrics, played some instruments, did adlibs, rapped and produced the song. Then PSY asked Suga to be part of the video and they did this gem. This song is a banger!
The more you listen to Korean music you’ll be hearing a few words that sound like “Nigga.” There’s 내가 which mean “I/me”(it’s pronounced nay-ga) now say that fast and you’ll see why it sounds almost alike. Then there’s 네가 which means “you” (pronounced like knee-ga) and that sounds similar. And both words are used very often in K-POP and K-HIP HOP/RAP.
Ahh yes. And it can sound especially questionable when they’re switching back and forth between English and Korean. It’s not uncommon for those words to immediately follow words in English 😬

NAE-GA = Means 'I am' in Korean. Some language has similar sound from one another word but Asians in those lands doesn't really know the N word much. Don't worry lol

Suga is SAVAGE when he's in his AUGST D (Suga spelled backwards with DT for Daegu Town...his home town) persona. His solo work is amazing. The rap line from BTS are skilled and have their own solo projects that reflect other parts of their personalities. If you are curious about the more rap/hiphop sides of BTS (they started as a rap hip hop group) check out CYPHERs 1-4, OUTRO: Tear, AUGST D/AUGST D and AUGST D/ Daechwita; RM/Joke and RM/Do You; BTS/UGH and J-Hope even bought the rights to redo Chicken Noodle Soup from the original Biana Bonnie for 2.7 million dollars . You could also look at the Festa Room Live because it has samples of their back catalogue with some rap included.

Suga actually reached out to PSY about this song that he wrote, and then they met and it developed from their. He's very talented. Fun Fact - This is the same set used in Permission to Dance, which you have reacted to.
Suga is one of the three rappers in BTS, and he writes and produces for BTS, his solo projects, and for other artists. He's a highly sought after producer. RM and J Hope are also rappers in BTS, and they also write and produce for BTS and their own solo projects. I know RM writes for other artists as well. Just so you know, all of the BTS members have had experience with writing and producing their own solo projects, and on BTS albums. They are highly skilled and very talented artists.

2 of the members came from underground rappers, and 1 from hip hop street dancer.
So yea.. they're really good. And they really were and still are the students of the game.

SUGA is one of the best rappers in the world. Definitely check out his solo work as Agust D. Especially Daechwita, another master piece he produced and performed in. He produced THAT THAT. He was also on Juice Wrld’s Dec 2021 album.

Hi, I liked the energy of the two of you reacting to PSY. I would like to ask you to react to more BTS songs, they have the three biggest rappers in Korea as part of the group! I'm sure you'll have another view of theirs, the lyrics are also very good, it's worth checking out. All 7 members of BTS write and produce the vast majority of their music. Suga is the main producer, he wrote and produced this song for PSY himself. Ahh and they all have very good solo works!
