Hello, all! I am somewhat back, trying to keep busy and creative during this weird time. I will keep doing cuts but I will also be posting non-Vinesauce content to this channel. Thanks to everyone who subscribed, even through inactivity. Enjoy, stay CLEEN and safe, please :)
This was a really fun one. All the inserts of Vinny's Public Access TV content were great and really added to the cut. These are all so we'll cut and paced it feels like I'm watching a hour-long episode of a series.
Bowwo, I really need to thank you for all of these Vinesauce compilations. You truly have earned all the rest you want as a proper thanks for all dedication you put into these edits.
The first 5 Turok games were about a Native American warrior taking up the mantle of 'Turok' and defending the Lost Land from extraterrestrial, supernatural, and time-traveling threats. The 2008 reboot literally has nothing in common with the other games other than the fact that it's an FPS that has dinosaurs in it. I would say that the games definitely used to have an identity.
My god... I completely forgot about those public TV shows Vinny did back in the day, back when the stream was 24/7 and everyone streamed in the same Vinesauce account it had random videos running during off-time between streams and every now and again clips of those shows would come up. What a nostalgia trip.
2:11 Call me an overly analytical game design nerd, but with all the platforming, collecting, and lives, I think this and Turok 2 may be the closest thing to a first person version of a 2D run-and-gun game, with possible elements taken from N64 platformers as well vs. the Gauntlet/Berzerk style of Wolf 3D and Doom. Other than Rise of the Triad, Duke 3D, and maybe Metroid Prime, I can't think of any other game that pulled that off... So that's cool. I love see neat little elements of genre evolution in classic games. Same reason I love early RPGs. Mirrors technological evolution and shows off conventions of the time from completely different genres and/or mediums seeping in. Like, to me, the logic is "it's an FPS aimed at a console audience, so it should draw from popular console games." So they took elements N64 platformers and other popular games a console audience would be familiar with and combined it with an FPS.
So from this we learned that the sequel vinny got hyped for is more ambitious but FAR less refined, while the OG is simple but well crafted. Also, to my recollection, this was the start of the whole "You are John (insert title/role here)" joke on the channel.
I'm super glad to have you back, bowwoo. I'm ngl I did miss your added humor in the comps you create. I probably watched your vids 3 times over during the hiatus.
Wow. I was just going through your videos yesterday, lamenting you hadn't been around for a while. Great to have you back, your edits are always more than on point.
Watching this after watching a Trey the Explainer video just blew my mind. This game came out in 1997 and it somehow predicted what future paleontologists would find out about Dimetrodon (The "dino" with the spines). They somehow predicted that Dimetrodon had little or no skin between the spines, something that paleontologists didn't discover until 2015! I mean, they might have just accidentally predicted this, but it's still pretty amazing.
What got me was the visual of a roll of tape being used over the sound of Vinny trying to hold in his laughter, i have never seen that joke done like that before and the way it was edited together was perfect.
Being able to see both him and Joel play both, as well as having my own experience with both the original and remastered versions of Turok 1 and 2, I think it's safe to say that level design and gameplay wise the first one is probably the best game in the series looking back. The sequels had improved gunplay but the levels are awful and the premise is lost. Like Vinny said, it's like this franchise lost it's identity after the first game... Evolution imo was a step in the right direction, but it was bogged down by linear levels and shitty vehicular segments, before being replaced with "Joe Turok, Space Marine" where all I remember is Ron Perlman nagging the player (rental, didn't buy the pos thankfully). I'd love to see nightdive or some other "modern retro" dev make a game in the vein of the OG.
I really really love this video for the amount of little edits. It's great to see you back, you are probably my favorite editor of Vinesauce brand material next to Southbird

You keeping busy will help us keep busy, glad you’re back
its good to have you back! your edits are some of my absolute favourite vinesauce edits, really looking forward to all your future content
I love how you provide additional context for some of the things Vinny talks about. The clips from the Public Access shows were fantastic.
This was a really fun one. All the inserts of Vinny's Public Access TV content were great and really added to the cut. These are all so we'll cut and paced it feels like I'm watching a hour-long episode of a series.
That zoom in on every "I! AM TUROK!" gets me every time, and I don't even know why. Just full on laughs.
Bowwo, I really need to thank you for all of these Vinesauce compilations. You truly have earned all the rest you want as a proper thanks for all dedication you put into these edits.
Vinny's humor has really not changed at all, and those public access pieces prove it.
"Ahh Hell, Skullface"

It's so great to have you back. Your editing is genuinely great, and you are seriously underrated. Hope more comes soon!
Return Of The King
THE MAN
THE MYTH
THE LEGEND
Idk why but Vinny’s fake TV show segments made me lose my mind
The first 5 Turok games were about a Native American warrior taking up the mantle of 'Turok' and defending the Lost Land from extraterrestrial, supernatural, and time-traveling threats.

I NEVER GAVE UP HOPE, I KNEW THIS DAY WOULD COME AND BOWWOO WOULD RETURN
YESSSS
I mean, he once said that it's basically
Half a year working
Half a year something else, mostly writing
Thanks for digging up the vine public access lore and making another great compilation.
I came for the Turok, I stayed for the nostalgia for that brief period in time when we all thought MGSV was actually good.
Big oof
I still think it's good. Definitely not as good as previous MGS games tho
I mean its got the best gameplay
It fucking is good
Loving the edits. You went the extra mile with this one. Especially at 1:15:00 . The babby Turok going away WITH the yellow!? So smooth
The editing is god tier. Can't stop laughing, great work bowwoo
14:01 LOOK AT THIS MEEAT
EVERYTIME I DO IT MAKES ME SPEEN

WELCOME BACK I MISSED YOU! Hope you're doing alright dude!
You make the greatest compilations
1:22:41
everybody is asleep in my house that fucking broke me
39:27 caught me off guard with that smooth transition
1:22:41 may have been the best edit of Vinny’s laugh that I’ve yet to see.
Imagine turning on your tv and Vinny Vinesauceman is there.
I love the little edits you add to these comps, they're great!

This is incredible thank you so much for your efforts bowwoo.
35:02 Gee, that really spooked me. Your editing work is godtier.
I still to this day watch the Labor Day video every Labor Day. Because I'm fruity.
we all know that Vin's Star Wars name would be Bin'Yot
you can't fool a fool
39:27
Whoa that was a neat transition.
As usual, amazing work. Always glad to see Vinesauce stuff here.
the transition at 39:27 is something else. I had to watch it 2 more times to even grasp what was happening. Beautiful.
So many excellent edits that add to the stream highlights! Keep up the great work!
Nice to see you're doing new edits, your longform Vinesauce edits are maybe my favorite fan edits and this is your best one so far!
BOWWOO YOU ARE A FUCKING GOD OF EDITING, THANK YOU FOR THIS BLESSED VIDEO!
1:22:40 Holy shit that was fucking MINT
Probably woke my neighbours for laughing that hard.
That was funnier than the whole bit before it
Adult Swim would have fucking LOVED the TV show Vinny did, stoner TV at its finest
Love the editing in this!
I always come back to these compilations man, so good x3

It's time for some master of FOV again! Awesome to see you're back again with another cut, Bowwoo.

These Cut videos are great, keep em coming!
1:22:39 this killed me
Vinny’s show may have genuinely been ahead of its time... this scares me...
Your highlights are the best.
I'm super glad to have you back, bowwoo.
I'm ngl I did miss your added humor in the comps you create. I probably watched your vids 3 times over during the hiatus.

Shitty Bender Navy Seal Copypasta killed me.
What got me was the visual of a roll of tape being used over the sound of Vinny trying to hold in his laughter, i have never seen that joke done like that before and the way it was edited together was perfect.
Glad you're back!
Edit: I especially enjoyed all the hidden SKULLFACE(s)
silenius19 Good eye, soldier!

Your editing is so good my skull just fell off
The editing in this was phenomenal! Great work
Eagerly awaiting Turok 3 to be ported to PC so we get another highlight video like this from you. Fantastic editing as always
They'd have to make a major overhaul on that game, i remember how insanely full of glitches it was, like a third of the weapons didn't work properly
I really really love this video for the amount of little edits. It's great to see you back, you are probably my favorite editor of Vinesauce brand material next to Southbird
Same except I like bowwoo's edits even better than Southbird's
You know, its the simple edits like this that get me 33:43
Im glad you are back, your edits are some of the best and i normally wouldn't even watch this game!
