Fun little tidbit about that boy who climbed up the tower and Basim goes up to help him. In their conversation, the boy tells Basim he didn't do it to get the attention of his friends, but to get the attention of the Hidden Ones, cause he knows they're watching and the real heroes looking out for the people and wants to be one of them some day. Basim tells the boy to come find the Hidden Ones when his voice starts to crack. After the boy jumps into the haystack, he and his friends run off. If you stick around long enough, you'll hear one of the kids call this boy Hytham, who is Basim's apprentice we meet in Valhalla.

I'll say that it's so nice to watch you stab someone in the neck, and see them actually die, and not just lose a quarter of their health because they're 20 levels higher than you.
I love that they tried to bring back the „OG“ combat system. I really struggled to like the combat in origins and odyssey, because it just didn’t feel like assassins creed.
I don’t know why games went through an era of all enemies having health bars.
@@ghostpiloting9861 because one game did it or something like it and it was popular so every game copied it because production company executives are cowards with very little clue of what make a game popular so they just copy what's already popular in an attempt to become/stay relevant.
Like an assassin you could say. One with a strict code.

I love that in Assassin's Creed games, you can whistle to attract over one guy. Like, if I hear a whistle from the bushes it's one of two things. Either some kind of bird and If so I don't care, or it's a person sneaking around the camp and I'm at least taking some of my buddies over there because he was probably going to try and kill me.
@@jaydee5472 The mechanics can be more interesting and serious without the tone necessarily being more serious. It would be nice if enemies were a little more aware of them slowly being picked apart by a whistling bush admittedly i suspect anything too close to reality would potentially become very difficult very quickly.
I have a torch, that torch is burning the bush.
Same with throwing rocks, honestly. If I hear a rock land in a bush or bounce off a wall, I'm going to assume it's someone trying to screw with me and go looking for the guy, not stare awkwardly at the wall or better yet, leave my post to go check a random bush.

The combat with swords has 0 weight, they just slice through the enemy and the AI does nothing
Yup haha. They didn't just go basic... they went ADVANCED basic

Its because Basim is supposed to be weaker in combat compared to the other characters, which encouraged stealth, thats why heavy attacks stun enemies

I missed the old AC experience. Now Ubisoft is hopefully bringing it back. I just hope the game isn't a broken mess on release.

You know I didn't even question that because I was blinded by the fact that we play as the guy trying to infiltrate them. But from the guards perspective that shouldn't even be on their mind at the sight of a damn bird

You're talking about the smoker voice right? I first discovered her in Arcane. It's an interesting voice, but unfortunately it's fixed to a very specific character type. She has to always be a hardened fighter character
She's in a live action show called The Expanse if you've heard of it, she is still a hardened character in that but a more political one, not a fighter by any means there. Id recommend it if you're looking for a new show, it is sci fi if youre into that or not@@shogunpug4071

Things take a weird turn when you think about the fact that Basim is gonna go insane with visions of his godly past and try to take over the world. Huh, maybe Valhalla was a mistake (Just to make myself clear, stories where we know the ending are not automatically bad, but it does take a good writer to make them compelling, and I don't think this is it)

I’d suggest AC syndicate.
Major unique mechanics that increases parkour speed.
Combat is alright. The gun selection is probably what makes the combat looks the greatest.
There is a return to Allies within helping factions.
More templars strong holds you remove, the more upgrades your factions get.
And it takes place around 1860’s at least near the beginning so it is in a historical period which should be familiar to more than most.
The only real thing I’d say the lacks in major combat changes. It is more complex than AC black flag or AC rogue so you don’t need to play rock paper scissors with the enemy.

That part with 25:00 had me laughing, the kid died trying to do a leap of faith, talk about 'I failed, OK, I tried, and A for effort'. The scene with the kid jumping and then fast forward to the grave so the kid died.

This was HILAROIUS! I don't really care for AC, even though I find the concept interesting, but you make them seem HILARIOUS! lol. Love it!
Mirage isn't even half bad. It still has a perfectly lomg to finish story. It still has the look and feel of Origin, Ofyssey, and Valhalla. Its just a smaller map that is still rather large.
I would buy the game, but Ubisoft always completely loses my accounts and i lose the games all the time. I have lost Odyssey 2 times, ive lost The Division 2 and Valhalla 2 times. All across 4 different avcounts. At this point, its smarter to wait until it get cracked so I can get it free
How did you manage to lost your games so many times ? You should buy them digitally if you are afraid to loose them all over again 😜
And no, Mirage is indeed not bad : it ressembles to a mix between Origins and Valhalla : the only bad point are the combats, Origins had the best formula for them in my opinion .. and Ghost Of Tsushima which have a good amount if inspiration from Ac Games, had excellent combats from my point of view : balanced, difficult enough, with variety ... 😊

I like how the civilians call out to guards if you are wanted, and I like the pickpocketing and I’m on old gen and the game runs smooth other few frame drops and shit loading screens but I can deal with that

It was made as a Valhalla dlc so yeah it’s gonna be a Valhalla with a coat of paint. However it makes the game about stealth again. If this game gets success then they can make a full budget AAA ac game. Then we can have a game that has its own animations and vibe

I like it for its historical setting and it’s overall design, I don’t care for the story or characters. I recommend it simply cuz I think the location is interesting and I like history.

It ran its course long ago. As soon as it stopped being about Desmond it stopped being about anything, because they had no clue where to go with it after that.

As a core storyline, it was dead after Desmond. But who really knows how AC couldve been better? They cant bring Desmond back or have a new Desmond.
They should do more with Abstergo inside the Animus or whatever it is.
Theyve ventured way too far into just “settings and Assassins”. And not enough into why we care to be an assassin in the first damn place.
@@cruxmind well yeah I was kinda getting at that. We jumped to so many different settings/characters with no thread connecting them. And it was only one offs for each assassin too. I’ve never cared for the modern day story sections, but Desmond’s sections were leagues better than what they have now

I'm really loving this game. I'm having a blast with it so far. The Stealth is great, the Parkour while basic is still fun, and the combat is a good challenge.
