    This is a thing of beauty! I bought a rivet press a couple of years ago but could never find the right dies. Luckily I got the right ones a couple of months ago so am looking forward to using it in bag making. I like the idea of two. Happy Easter x

    • @SewNaturalDane
      @SewNaturalDane  4 года назад +1

      Thanks Claire, yes I'm already seeing how having two really makes the process easier, specifically if you are doing holes on one and rivet setting, etc. on the other. Definitely makes a difference.

      I have 2 presses because of convenience you most certainly don't need 2 but I use one to punch holes and the other to add my rivets. It makes the process easier and faster for me. However, you can get just one and buy the multiple die sets.

    A Japanese Book Hand Press Drill is perfect for holes, you can see where you’re placing them and they “reach” anywhere. You only need to use the 2mm or 3mm one for every size and therefore you can leave your two presses set up with just the rivet and grommet setting dies without having to change out for the hole cutting dies. (If you play around with grommet dies, you can usually cut AND set with the one set, usually a top and bottom from each part :))

    Thanks so much for your thorough description. I am interested in knowing more about the extra die like what Debbie Hunker uses.Do you use the adaptor die her husband makes? This is the part l don't understand. Thanks for your time.

    • @SewNaturalDane
      @SewNaturalDane  4 года назад +1

      Hi Mary, yes, I use the press plates from Debbie Hunker. I use those press plates on my other table press from GoldStar. However, she makes the press plates for the KAM press as well. I usually use the press plates to flatten thick areas of vinyl or cork or thicker fabrics I need to sew and it truly does help me sew those thicker areas easier. I know some people use mallets to flatten areas as well. Hope that helps.
