+Memory Lane Videos Definitely. Montages are great for so many different things. Since the defaults are long it is great that you can go into the editor and make them shorter when needed.
Love it! I always use a motion background with my Montage themes. Also, maybe next time, you can show how to add Scorefitter to the video!

Hi, i love you channel. Can you please tell me how can i adjust picture in montage. I'm using Pinnacle studio 22. I have searched everywhere and i can not find the answer. The picture is not centered.
For those 4 places to add photos or video, if using video, can you crop and resize the video in that tool or should you do all the cropping and sizing before adding to the montage?
Which video should I watch that will show me how (when making a slideshow or video) to get rid of the spaces between several clips at once...snug them up. Like after changing the duration of 50 photos as a group? Thanks

I am looking for a Scoreboard Overlay that I can put in the upper left hand corner with a white background, team names score and quarter. Want to be able to change the color of names and score based on their uniform color.
Hi Maliek. Just wanting to do this with some holiday photos but I am using 21 Ultimate. I am getting around using this video tutorial but you mentioned adding videos as well. So I added some photos and added a video (going to do more along the video), So I played it and the photos worked well, but the video was just like a photo? no movement? When I added the video to the montage, You also mentioned a speaker icon but non was showing? there is a little slider bar beneath it, I am guessing I move this to where I want the video to play from, or do I have to edit the video to the part I want and length? Can you slow down all the pictures in the Montage or just the last one? eg if there are 4 slots for photo's is it just No 4 that you can slow down or speed up or are you able to adjust each one to your liking?
Hi Maliek. The top of my photo is getting cutoff in the montage. I tried cropping photo but that didn't work. I am using the Opening Montage in Studio 22 Plus. How can I shrink the photo to fit in the montage?
The montage theme drop zones orientation is landscape and I have yet to see any in portrait. I understand I can edit a picture so it will fit correctly, but it would be nice to have themes with portrait orientation to make it easier. It would even be better if Pinnacle included an edit mode within the montage to change or rotate the orientation. Are there any montage themes I can download with portrait orientation? Is there a site for free montage downloads?
Question. How do I insert a clip from my timeline into the montage editor? User manual says copy and paste to drop zone but this is not available. Using version 23.

+AquaDreamer There is a separate program that comes with it that records the screen. You should see it on your desktop or in all programs > Pinnacle > Screen Recorder. It is not inside of Pinnacle Studio.

How do you increase length of a montage? I can't find the option. I have 10 minute videos that I want to play all the way through in a montage...?
I would love to delete 1 or 2 sections within a montage. Isn't there a way to do so? For example I have a montage with 5 sections (1-5) and I only need 3...?!
Pinnacle Studio Pro. I'm having quite a lot of trouble editing one of my gaming videos in Pinnacle studio 19 ultimate. When I would take one clip, and I want to skip to another part of the clip to erase any boring parts, I would make a cut in where I want the clip to end, and another cut where I want the other part of the clip begin. Then i would delete the space in between the two cuts. Heres where the problem begins. Now I have two clips of the same video, and it goes from one part to another. What happens is when I watch video, and get to the cut, any audio in that part of the video is erased, and no sound is heard for a couple seconds. Please Help! Sorry if the comment is a bit long tho.

I may have missed it, but I have two questions. 1. How do you set the aspect ratio so that all photos are imported and "fit" properly into the video. 2. In the old pinnacle studio, you were able to edit the "smart movie". I can't seem to be able to edit the smart movie in my Pinnacle Studio 18. I can render it with the "fit photos", but then it won't pan and zoom. Any suggestions? Thanks.
+Jana Warren When you use a montage the photos automatically fill the screen so there was no need to show anything like that in this video. I'm not aware of a setting to make all imported videos fit. I am just getting the swing of the Smart Movie feature myself. I'll be making a future tutorial. I have yet to find a means to edit while in Smart Movie mode. Someone in the forum may have a solution. forums.pinnaclesys.com/forums/242/ShowForum.aspx

Help! Question! Having serious problems with Pinnacle Studio 19. After last update, program freezes and frames go to black enough times to make me wanna hollar!! Have deleted program (3 wks ago) and reloaded. Most of the freezing has stopped, but now the frames going to black is becoming constant! Even using the picture feature show the frame in black!!! What's up; what can I do?? I'm in the middle of a project. Thanks in advance, L.F.
You can roll back to the previous version so the patch is not applied. Uninstall Pinnacle Studio, reinstall all patches except the last one. If that doesn't work, try asking for help on the PS Users community. Maybe someone else there has experienced this and has a fix. plus.google.com/communities/103736620166447167176
Anyway to force the montage to also go to image 3?
I have pinnacle studio 20. I installed a heart montage and twice during the montage, it quickly show (in and out) the video edited in the track below it as the montage is fulfilled... is there a reason for this, can this be resolved?
The only reason I can think of is if the montage has elements that are transparent. It is was happening to me I would remove the video that was directly underneath the montage if I did not want it to show.

Montage themes should automatically adjust media to drop zone geometry. This means a 4:3 picture format will be automatically extended to fully fill the drop zone area in case of 16:9 project format. But this behavior occurs only when you drag the media into drop zone directly from the montage editor.
You can change the montage behavior by changing the project settings (4:3 or 16:9). You can't manually adjust pictures in the montage editor. You have to edit them in a photo editor. forums.pinnaclesys.com/forums/thread/717045.aspx
Can the pictures be adjusted or rotated to fit the montage?
Hi, I have been using Studio 12 & 15 and really struggling with 19. How can you pan/zoom your photos to add to your montage? I used to do this in my timeline then easily drag and drop into the montage but as 19 is so difficult now, I cant find anywhere to add effects to my photos to use in the montage. Please help
+C & M Motoring What version of Pinnacle Studio do you have? Basic, Plus, or Ultimate? If you have Plus or Ultimate right click the photo and select Open Effects Editor and use 2D Editor Advanced to create pan/zoom effects.You should also have an option to Pan and Zoom from the photo corrections.

Sorry I thought you were trying to do it outside of the montage. You can do that within the montage.

I wonder why some pictures do not fit to the montage. what i mean is, when i drop a photo to all the zones, then play it after, some photos are cut, some faces of the photo are not shown. instead of the face being shown, its their chest or necks are exposed. any help please. thanks a lot.
Thanks for subbing. The montage template focuses on the center of the photo. Also, the resolution of the photo will drive what is centered in the montage. There is no way to adjust the montage template but you can adjust your photo (change the size.resolution or crop the photo) using a photo editor until it fits in the montage template.

Dude..... i bought this so i could make simple slide shows.... i did the slide show, but all the pictures that i had scanned for the slide show are to big, they dont fit in the appropriate fancy windows that the montage settings have, they are all to big.....Is there a aspect ratio button or a fit to screen or stretch to fit button on this program somewhere? how do i make them fit in the windows of the picture frames that are in Album and Album 2, thanks, Mike
+Mike Mason No there isn't. You can use a photo editor to adjust the resolution of your pictures to match the resolution of your project then they will fit in the montage.

hey Maliek i have a problem with mine. when i upload the album montage and i add the pictures and creates them and too old 3D with the red and green color. Why?
+Carlos Alvarado I don't know why. You can fix it by clicking on the timeline settings (cogs) on the far left above the timeline on the toolbar. Change the settings there from 3D to 2D.

Why does the Montage skip going to the third picture on the part A and then skipped over photo two on part B?
Not sure what you are referring to.
If you watch the montage you will see it goes from the intro picture then to imagine two, then down to image four. The animation skips over image three
That is how the montage is intended to be. Guess it was an artistic choice by the person who made it.

Honestly, I hate pinnacle. I have 19 and it just keeps blacking out, crashing, going slow or fast for no reason (in the preview thingy). I think im gonna go to sony vegas to save a lot of time.
I know exactly how you feel. I'm only sticking to it for now because I have to make whatever money I spend count. a year later I still wouldn't recommend it to anybody!
Pinnacle Studio Pro. Recently I commented on this video talking about one of my problems while editing a video, and you replied. Your suggestion fixed the problem, and I'd like to thank you. But I'm also having another problem. What happens is I make multiple different videos of footage, and I like to skip some of the boring parts, so I cut it. But after I get to a certain amount of minutes in a video, like 5 minutes, the audio starts glitching out, and is about 1 or 2 seconds behind the clip. For example, In the video, i shoot a gun and you hear the sound right when you see the muzzle flash. But after editing it, I realize there is a problem. i shoot the gun, you see the muzzle flash, and a second or two after that, you hear the sound. I don't know what to do. Please help!
+Bagel Punch How long is the video? Have you tried to export the video to see if it is in sync after exporting? Is this only happening when you preview the video? What is the file format and codec of the video? What device did you use to shoot/create the video?
+PinnacleStudioPro . +PinnacleStudioPro . I am still making the video, so I don't know how lucky my it will be. The clips I am putting in are about 7 minutes long, but I will check again. I have not tried to export the video, maybe that's the problem. So far, yes it only happens when I preview the video, and I actually used a screen recorder to record gameplay. It is called lolio game recorder, if that helps.
The issue is the variable frame rate. When you record with most game capture devices they use a variable frame ate which Pinnacle doesn't like. It likes constant frame rates. Watch this video to use a free program called Handbrake to convert the video to a constant frame rate.

Can I add more montage frames to the timeline for lots of pics?
You can drag as many montage sequences to the timeline as you'd like by opening the montages in the media window and dragging each one down to the timeline.

You do not have that level of control over montages.
You do have that level of control in VideoStudio with their FastFlick templates (I have both programs) but the problem there is that the timeline gets so cluttered that it's really awkward. Thank you very much for the reply.

What file format are you trying to import? What is the device that you used to record / create the footage? What is the resolution of the footage? What is the frame rate of the footage? PLEASE answer all of the questions I asked. Without all of the answers I can't help you.

Glad to know you figured it out. So what was the issue?
The software literally refused to accept any imported footage. I would try dragging it in and it blocked me from doing so. (Studio 19 ultimate)
