The supporting cast was also wonderful. Mr. Sunshine was beautifully written, perfectly directed and flawlessly executed by talented actors and actresses. Kudos!
This is a Korean drama I was completely blown away by. The superb quality of the production aside, the drama reinforces some fundamental western societal values that are rapidly becoming extinct albeit set in a Confucian environment. Every episode left me crying and uplifted. The noble qualities of Ae-shin that brought the best out of Eugene, says to me that always moving toward the highest good is the best we can do for our fellow man.
Lee Byung Hun is a truly gifted actor and I applaud his huge talents in superb acting, handsome countenance, large range of emotions and absolutely velvet speaking voice. I hastily add that the other two men who were in love with Aishin were astonishingly talented. Of course, Aisin and Hina were terrific and both were made for their parts. Mr. Sunshine is indeed a classic and I will continue to see it often. All the actors were the best available for their part. Casting was done by a very savvy person. Bravo! Marijane Stomberg

Lee Byung Hun, is absolutely gorgeous and extremely gifted. It was sooo sad that Eugene and Aisin never kissed or had a child. Eugene was very strong to hold back his love and affection. It was a heart-rending story for sure.

Congratulation to Korean movie industry. One memorable scene is the opposition to western education.... my mum was not schooled via the western education because of my family Royalty. However this tradition has since changed.

But as a Marine veteran please have Eugene know that the Eagle Globe and anchors go inboard on his uniform. It is not a complaint just a observation. Marines take Great pride in uniform. 2021 quarantine, am now on episode 20, though sad ending is evident 😓, I got curious because of Kim min Jung I am watching the Devil Judge (on ep 10 now) and intrigued by her, LBH I had seen his Hollywood movie and I saw the devil but he only got me now on this, all actors are great they played their respective role very well. However queen Seondok and The Fiery Priest is still my best Korean drama and Kim Namgil is my best Korean actor since Bidam and as Father Hae Il.
