    Nice, I’m a banjo teacher in Chicago, I have a 15 year old student and we are working on this tune. Nice job learning the solo.

    Amazing. I’ve been playing bass a long time. Single notes. Your single notes are heavenly.

    Interesting. I wonder as a stringed instrument player about the ability to play on these instruments what's been laid down by reed and horn players. I've been immersing myself in Chet Baker recently and wondering about the possibility of getting to the heart of the tune with a plucked instrument; in that case mando, not banjo. But this raises the question once again for me. Can we approach it? Equal it? Surpass it? Transcend it? with something plucked...

    This is insane 😂
    How do you memorize all this complicated notes and sometimes weird progressions... It's not a melody. Not heart driven but mind driven. Would be impossible to me and you have my full respect 😊

      Same as anything else! Slowly, and one note at a time!

    Can you give me any insight on how to get a right hand like that?

    • @EliGilbertBanjo
      @EliGilbertBanjo  7 лет назад +1

      ShamefulBoner lots of practice with a metronome! I generally play single string stuff with 3 fingers, in a thumb-index-thumb-middle pattern. Practice that right hand pattern on each string/with scales and you'll be on your way!

      Eli Gilbert Thanks for the reply! Ive been using a thumbpick lately, this will definitely help.
