Great video mate, good little set up there. Good to catch up for a chat yesterday. How did the motor go at the bash? I could of used one im a bit sore today 😄
Take that 2x6;and rip it down to 3.75” and you won’t have the drag in the water. I really like the simplicity and functionality of your mount. Makes me want to rethink mine which I put pvc piping in the rod holders but it’s bulky.
Just bought a watersnake venom 44, and looking everywhere for someone who can modify my kayak like you have done , Can I pay you to do mine ? Or can you recommend anyone ? Cheers
Hi I'm looking at doing the same setup. Do have a link to the battery you are running in the kayak? I tried looking in battery world but no luck... You don't need a boat license under 40lbs
@@josephaerialphotography6734 yeah battery world Bunbury and the manager is good or the lady that works in there is good as well. Yeah that’s a good buy mate. Good luck with it and hope it works out 👍
Nice work 👍. We bought 2/24t Watersnake but it came with this revolutionary new bracket design. The bracket was shit so got in touch with Watersnake n they sent us out a Transom bracket. Must know their new bracket design is shit. We'll be copying your setup. Was looking at kit from Kayaks2fish but over hundred bucks each.
Thanks mate, yeah I look at them as well and they were so expensive and crap. I decided to go to Bunnings and get my own gear. It’s so strong and easy to use. If the bolts snap due to salt water just buy new ones haha. Thanks mate I’m glad this helped you out
Was going to say that timber would be to low.Got those on our Hobies to, Partners got a 18lb and i got a 24lb. you do realise you have to go through the bullshit of registering that, mind i have not because i reckon its just a money rort
@@roosadventures There never is anything on the box and sale staff say nothing either. Like i said i havent registered ours. Basically its get a HIn{ Hull identification Number] $120roughly, then register it not sure on price, thats yearly, then Recreational Fishing licence, which is also yearly as it registered, plus safety gear as in all the flares which expire after a certain time.Which is why i have not done ours as its X2. Im going to wing it and hopefully not get caught, as with the Hobies i can mount ours straight in the Mirage Drive well. Hope this doesnt put you off keeping it, as the Watersnakes are brilliant after a long day on the water. We bought the FPV 12v50 Amp batteries for ours. After spending $1400 roughly on batteries and Watersnakes, went to hell with go thru the rego crap
Hi did you put some plates underneath the head of the bolts 🔩 if no you're going to crack the hull,,,,you can make a rudder for the trolling motor so it will handle better ,,,,,,PWM SPEED CONTROLLER WILL MAKE BATTERY LAST LONGER THAN,,,,,,WITH OUT,,,,,,,JUST AN IDEA 💡
Nothing like local content to watch.
Great Transom mounting and (how to) Thanks
Thanks mate! Easy and very strong Mount 👌
Thanks mate
Nice work mate. I wish I was handy enough to modify my kayak!
Thanks mate, I’ve done al that to it and just brought a tinny. Now time to deck that out
Whats the bar you used mate?
We just used a aluminium bar from Bunnings mate! All materials where bought from Bunnings
Looks terrific!...hope Tyler's doing well. Cheers.
Hi mate what kind of connector on 7:03. I m setting up my own so I need some ideas. Is that fuse or circuit breaker or do we need that ?
That's the perfect setup would make the wood shorter looks looks it is dragging in the water. @ years later how did it hold up?
@@TheSkydiverphoenix yeah it still holds up but it’s not hard to replace

Thanks mate yeah it was working like a treat 👌. It’s a little quick tho in speed 1 as it was going 2.5mph. I normally troll around 2mph

Yeah was think about doing that. Yeah I thought that the way I did it wouldn’t look bulky.

Hi Elle
Yeah nice, yeah I can do something similar to what I have done for you 👍
Where are you based?
That would be amazing if you could , I’m in Perth though ? Where are you ?
@@elleashley5138 I live in Bunbury 👍. If you message me on Instagram or Facebook and could you send me a picture of your kayak?

Yeah I got all my gear from battery world and they also fitted it all for me. What area did you try?
@@roosadventures I haven't been anywhere yet but Sunbury not far from me is that where you did your rig?

Yeah I’ve changed it so it’s not in the water. Nah no one told me to register the motor. There was nothing about it in the box

How hard is it to do the speed controller
