Gotham looks incredible. You can tell it’s a city that is literally hell on earth.
Like the James Bond series, every actor who’s played batman brought something different to the table. Yes even George clooney, he brought the bat nipples with him that counts lol!
This iteration shows a batman who’s suffering from mental health issues but he uses his alter ego as catharsis, a way of dealing with his intense rage and pain.
This depiction is batman at his youngest, a rookie vigilante. Something not quite seen before. Every version of batman had a certain maturity to it, this version seems abrasive but crude, unrefined but robust.
It’s always great when they find new ways of replenishing the batman mythos for the current generation. This proves why he’s universally revered and one of pop culture’s most iconic figures.

I think things about it look incredible, but imo some of the fundamental parts dont work for me and that throws off the whole thing. I just dont like dudes batman persona. When he punched the window at riddler it felt completely forced and just couldn't take it seriously. And the mask, like how do you fuck that part up? No matter how ive felt about every other batman movie thats ever come out, i never have felt like the mask just looked weird, but in this trailer it just looks off everytime i see it. I really really wanted to be hype for this, and i was, until i saw the trailer. Ill still give it a shot, and more power to you if you end up liking it, but i just dont think om gonna be into.

It's been that way as far back as Batman in 1989. People freaked out about Michael Keaton as Batman then praised his performance. And remember the collective meltdowns over Heath Ledger? Same thing with Affleck, who I think brought a good performance and take on Batman, despite the flaws with the DCEU. I guarantee once this movie is released the same people talking shit will be saying that RP's performance is the new definitive take on Batman.

@@charmygreen665 I don't glean much from trailers. So many terrible movies (Passengers) had solid trailers then ended up being crap, and vice versa. If this turns into a franchise, I'm sure we'll see changes to the suit to fit a more sleek and streamlined Batman.

Apart from the mental health of Batman there's a lot of other insane shit going on, this dark noir detective setting they have going on? How it appears that we'll literally be unfolding the mystery as Batman does - This could easily be peak Batman in cinema if its every bit as good as it looks

So in a way, it is vengeance, he is vengeance, he is the fear inside criminals mind when they second think their actions. He gets retribution for the criminals actions. Without crossing the line, because then he's just as bad as them, he becomes the bullet that kills Martha, his mother. In my mind, that's justice

Cinematography is fantastic. It’s so seven meets zodiac I love it. This has a graphic novel neo-noir vibe to it which is refreshing.
