It's been that way as far back as Batman in 1989. People freaked out about Michael Keaton as Batman then praised his performance. And remember the collective meltdowns over Heath Ledger? Same thing with Affleck, who I think brought a good performance and take on Batman, despite the flaws with the DCEU. I guarantee once this movie is released the same people talking shit will be saying that RP's performance is the new definitive take on Batman.

Dude, the way he was absolutely demolishing that criminal while Selina watched in actual horror, I mean, it looked like he couldn't hold himself back if he tried- The tone, and the setting of this movie, they clearly have an idea of what they're doing here and there's no corner cutting when it comes to it- I struggle with mental health issues myself and to see them attack that here is breathtaking, truly brought a tear to my eye the way they're humanizing Batman here, really makes you respect what he inevitably molds himself into, where he leaves Bruce Wayne broken and focuses all of his energy on Batman, almost makes me a bit jealous Apart from the mental health of Batman there's a lot of other insane shit going on, this dark noir detective setting they have going on? How it appears that we'll literally be unfolding the mystery as Batman does - This could easily be peak Batman in cinema if its every bit as good as it looks
The batman we all wanted...don't get me wrong I love the dark knight trilogy...its on my all time favorite list but this could end up being up there if not the best yet...I hope so anyways.
Let’s wait for the movie maybe before we call it the best Batman in cinema. My favorite is still Mask of the Phantasm, which balanced a lot of things very accurately. Personally I don’t think darker is always better but I realize I’m in the minority here.
I gotta admit though during making of the Dark Knight & the Dark Knight Rises , Christian Bale helped in turning all the old Batman movies into something to what we see today which is more of a dark Batman, one that almost touches the boundaries of man and an underground super hero
Man that scene in the hallway where he’s walking and beating everyone down reminds me so much of the scene where Darth Vader does the same and everyone is trapped. Epic

Robert Pattinson got lot of hate when being cast for The Batman (2022) just because of his emo shinny vampire character from Twilight, but Matt Reeves saw his potential. From the trailers so far, the Batman looks awesome.
Robert Pattinson has done many other films other then twilight and its wrong to type cast any actor for one trilogy. Robert Pattinsons port folio is filled with deep intense films. I’m actually more excited to see Paul Dano’s version of the riddler. They are purposely hiding his face and direct conversations in both trailers for some reason that should be subtle but slightly disturbing since they are applying some zodiac to him, I got high hopes for this DC don’t screw it up. The only other thing DC has going for it for me is seeing Michael Keaton as Batman again in the flash….again DC don’t screw that up.
@@theemperorofdrifts5854- I've honestly never seen any movies with him in it (unless watching Kill Counts on Dead Meat counts 😂). I remember people saying the same thing about Heath Ledger. A friend of mine started calling him “The Poker” due to previous role choices. Hopefully everyone will be as pleasantly surprised as we were then.
I see now why the director cast Robert Pattinson for this role, he's such a versatile actor, can pull off any kind of role, this Batman seems as unhinged, crazy and unpredictable like the Joker himself, his armor makes him unstoppable like the Terminator against any kind of weapon, and I'm guessing that the worst news for the villains in the movie remains that... he does not kill! He intimidates, mutilates, cripples, electrocutes bad guys, all punishments worse than death... he is evil's worst nightmare, he is vengeance!

The myth of Batman is so all consuming that you can have many iterations on screen that they all each add their inflection to the enigma. In honor of those who went before from Keaton to Bale and to those who are to come...
Looking at the cinematography/music of both trailers, it looks like they were aiming to combine aspects from the best Batman films over the decades to make the ultimate Bat-flick. From Keaton's "Batman" to the Dark Knight films (even some Batman Forever music vibes ); it looks like they nailed it. Can't wait to see this one in theatres.

I’m pretty sure that Batman’s code: justice is not vengeance/ justice not vengeance was created after he adopted robin into the bat family, and that before that he was just running on pure vengeance.
I mean, his motivation for doing it is taking back the city from the criminals and making it so no other little boy has to go through that again. So in a way, it is vengeance, he is vengeance, he is the fear inside criminals mind when they second think their actions. He gets retribution for the criminals actions. I’m pretty sure that Batman’s code: justice is not vengeance/ justice not vengeance was created after he adopted robin into the bat family, and that before that he was just running on pure vengeance.
“I am vengeance.I am the night.I am Batman”
I mean, his motivation for doing it is taking back the city from the criminals and making it so no other little boy has to go through that again. So in a way, it is vengeance, he is vengeance, he is the fear inside criminals mind when they second think their actions. He gets retribution for the criminals actions. It’s pretty awesome to see this monster in the Batman suit. We always think of the stoic Batman but to see him as a genuine force of fear for anyone, pretty cool.
Joaquin Phoenix: Can You Introduce Me As Joker?
That would be cool if they tied in his Joker character to this new Batman.
@@Sunsn7 His joker and this batam would be EPIC. Its like a true gotham
gotham portrayed in the joker movie and this batman trailer look the same. dark and gritty where crime runs the street
love to see it
Amaaazzzziiinnnnggg,
You nailed it Matt Reeves, after Christopher nolan someone actually nailed a young Batman, and the score is astounding. Can't wait.
@Savetion Lmao I am damn sure you are a marvel fan
@@adityajoglekar7873 As a marvel fan we don't use these kind of insults i used to insult dc too then watched some movies of dc and then became a fan too
U can say Marvel and DC fan but no Marvel fan has used the clown emoji and the trash emoji as an insult
When the villain even says Take it easy!!! It's gonna be a badass movie!!!😌
I've always LOVED when Batman is violent and untamed like this. He's at his best when he's a demon of pure hatred and anger.
I feel like this is the most realistic origins of a Batman, you can see and feel his anger. Hopefully it will show him mature and become the Batman we know an love. I’m all for it!
Let's hope this is a new trilogy. So we are in for 2 more movies.
One stand-alone Batman movie is enough to overthrow the DCEU and the MCU. I can't wait.
Now that’s a Batman .. raw aggression and someone to be really scared of
His new theme is amazing
Reallu love the direction they went with for this batmobile, a bit more like an ordinary car (relative to all the other movie batmobiles), kind of how the tv batmobile was more ordinary. Feel like a mix between a trans am and a trophy truck.
The Batman looks so good... hype is real.
So happy for Tommy Wiseau to finally land a role in a AAA movie. 1:14
This is how I always imagined batman to be like. Dark, brutal and strobe lights being in every fight scene.
This Batman will most likely achieve what Affleck's Batman was trying to achieve but failed. Being dark, emotional, and universally great at the same time. Oscars, Golden Globe, IMDb, Metacritic, Rotten Tomatoes, box office success, audience compliments, fans adoration, continued sequels, this movie will won them all.
Loving the neo noir feel, and this "lightfighter" version of Batman. More stealth and speed.
Catwoman: who are u under there?
Batman: have u seen twilight?
“You know how many times I’ve heard that? ‘Rest in Peace Batman!’ ‘There’s no escape Batman!’ ‘Time to die Batman!’ Every night, over and over and over, for so many years. ‘This is the end Batman!’ Every damn night. And yet… I’m still here.”
This trailer just changed my mind about the movie, in a good direction.
1:40 onwards - it doesn’t get any better. Unbelievable- one of a kind shot. Illuminated with just the bullet fires 🔥
Reminds me of the Vader hallway scene in rouge one
Yeah cuz nothing screams "Batman" quite like deflecting bullets off his chest as he calmly walks towards the shooters. Honestly that shot ruined this whole trailer for me
Paul Dano 🔥🔥
Underrated talent

From the upside down shot to the rise in the music, that last shot..wow just wow…it’s so good
