Correction: between the visual of the knife and the choice of 8670 steel, I assumed Corey had made the one off neck knife through forging, however it was actually stock removal. Sorry for any confusion. Definitely go check out his Instagram page for more details on his knives. Also, I apologize for the audio, I didn’t realize the fan running in the background would be so audible. I fixed it in the next few videos 👊🏼
I have a GEC H10 in kingwood, I saw them on your channel and wanted something small that looked more like a traditional belt knife than all the tacticool stuff I own. It's been a very nice little knife for general chores but I finally got my hands on a Sosby Cub and that thing has never left my pocket. Been introduced to some great knives thanks to this channel.
Glad you’re enjoying both knives! Sosby is one of my favorite makers, I need to get another full size Cub at some point here, it used to be the knife I carried the most. Happy I could help 👊🏼
I disagree 100%. I have a Jang shank 23:47 😅Ring knife I have 2 jank shank I'm a knife fighter. I love ring knives for knife fighting. This is my😮 everyday Carrie. I love the thickness of this knife. I like the Is owarncliff cliff pointcliff point and it's razor-sharp. The only issues I have are they grind on the kydex sheath? So you have nothing to push against to open the knife sheet. A number two, there should be a knob for your thumb.A ⁰⁶ Erased shark Finn hump to push against when you're in fighting position. I had a Wilder well beyond a section of nail to use. Is I love to push against but other than that, I love these knives. I love the thickness. For knife fighting, they are excellent. They are lightweigth but thick and don't scrume😢 around in your hand. I love this knife , put a raised Hump on the top to push agian st for a better fighting grip
I had a jank shank for a while. Mine was advertised as having nitro V steel but showed up having cpm 154. Also the grinds were so wonky the blade looked almost bent. Found it a new home shortly after.
Damn that’s weird, where did you buy it? Is it possible it was a clone? Because in my experience and from what I’ve heard from others, Toor stuff is generally very well made, just some weird design choices. Honestly I wish they did them in Nitro V, I think it makes much more sense for this type of blade.
@@justified_edc not likely, bought from reputable retailer. I had heard of similar issues before but decided to give them a shot. I want to like this company, I enjoy their designs, but QC issues like this are going to keep me from being a repeat customer. Turns out, like you, that this particular knife isn’t my jam anyway.
@@rjoshm20 huh that’s really strange, I’ve only handled a couple Toor knives but they’ve all been finished very well, so it’s good to know that people have been having QC issues. I only get a sample size of 1 most of the time, so comments like yours are super valuable!
Agreed why so thick? Make it an 8th or even a 16th of an inch and make it carbon steel. People who worry about rust are mostly just ridiculous. Nobody needs a quarter inch thick knife so matter the application, choose a tougher steel if you need it to be a beater, especially for a self defense knife, I want it to be as slicy as possible and if it breaks while defending yourself it's probably the least of your troubles at that point.
@@jusme8060 I’d have to agree with you on that. Tip geometry as well and steel choice and heat treat are much more important than stock thickness in terms of the durability of a self defense blade. It’s mostly people who haven’t done any kind of organic medium testing who seem to make defensive knives super thick.
Damn! If you'd quit flipping the fucking knives around and slow down we might be able to see the knife! Trying to watch this video made me dizzy and gave me a fucking headache.

Been wanting to try that karasumba but toors reputation is pretty bad.
