@CaptCamping I made an "IR Miniature" that is used as a pointing device to move the virtual miniatures around on the screen. There are no actual minis used at all. Due to the size of the LCD TV screen, it would not be realistic to use for mini wargames like 40K or Warhammer Fantasy since the dimensions are only 37" diagonal. Most mini wargames take up the entire surface of the table. ;-)
@CaptCamping Well, it was mostly designed for "virtual" tokens to be used for RPG's as opposed to mini wargaming. There wouldn't be an easy way to keep track of movement unless you used an "all digital" army. That would definitely work. :-)

So, I hate to dig this up a DECADE later, but is this still doable? Are there easier ways to do this now?
With windows 7 and the new touch screens with a screen cover, have you considered switching over?
This...is the COOLEST THING EVER
why not frost the glass table and hook up a projector and use the table as your board?
You can still use the miniatures though can't you? Just use the infrared light to move them?
My GAWD I love nerds.
