Shot on the Missouri River with Todd Day Wait, surrounded by the heat, beer and the Big Muddy.
This was a lucky video to grab. Our crew had to race back to the Rocky Mountains to get back to our normal lives, and we heard a rumor that Todd Day Wait was hiding near the Missouri River. We convinced ourselves that we'd be crazy not to go snag one with him.
The song at the end of the video: Todd recorded it and you can hear on our Patreon!

This setting is just perfect-- it's like Tom Sawyer is about to float by in the background.
Tom Sawyer was a Mississippi man!
@@noblejennette2101 And Dorian Gray was a power ranger
I used to play at Coopers Landing and party with some cool folks. Neat to see it in the background and that the houseboat still sits there. That river flows towards the camera pretty fast.
Your music is amazing I've related to it so much and it's helped me alot thank you
Interestingly enough, the river scenes from The Adventures of Tom Sawyer were filmed very close to there in Lupus, MO.
That’s it. I’m making a radio station where these artists get to have there voiced heard to an audience who have been dulled by the music people call “country”
amen brother
Guerilla Western AF Radio!
It's been done, and it's called The Old Soul Radio Show
@@typicalmurican2546 Awesome I'll look into that. Thanks man
I’ve thought about proposing that idea to the one country station, in my area. I’d take the 2am to 5am slot in a heartbeat.
Better than 95% of all country music playing on the radio now
I'd say 100%...even Stapleton is a watered down version of what he had with the Steeldrivers....and honestly imo he's the best thing country radio has going...
As a Midwest boy. This one of the most beautiful songs I’ve heard.
As a Montana boy, I second that
"Ill bet that boy don't even have a home,...that must make it hard to root and sew" just some beautiful real lyrics.
Whoever is in charge of the camera work deserves a raise. This is gorgeous.
This could be the greatest country song ever written
The line, “some folks lost someone, the only one they wanted to know,” nearly brought a tear to my eye. I’ve listened to this song probably 30 times this week. Beautiful song and camera work. Thank you for sharing.
Had to listen to this three times in a row... then I poured myself some whiskey, and listened to it two times more. Sweet tune!
We need more music like this in the world and on the radio instead of all that trash.
Anyone else hear a little Willie Nelson in his voice?
I think its the way the lines come out. I hear it too. Its awesome whatever it is haha
Beat me to it, right away I thought about Willy
I can pick out Todd by the way his guitar sounds. So in a way he definitely reminds me of Willie and Trigger
One of my favorites by y'all 🥰
Great song I'm proud to be that guy
AKA Saddle Tramp 💪🤠
Went to elementary school with Todd. Happy to see him doing well!
Just found out he is from a few towns over from me. That made my day. Such great music.
I fucking love this song
Self portrait of the traveling artist. Devastatingly beautiful song.
How does this channel always manage to get seriously amazing songs from unique unknown artists every time? It's amazing

Just a man and his guitar, but plenty of soul.
Sweet twang tune !! Thank you for sharing your Music story very nice work.
Todd always keeping it 60/50!
Greatest modern country song i've heard in a long time, damn that hits right home!
This song has been playing in my head for months!
"Ya that's my story" "if it's yours too" " your not alone" " I'm just some guy, lord some..body knows". Classic!
I'm just really excited about country music right now.
I feel very alone sometimes though. Much love. Thanks for the music
Oof. That strumming is some of the prettiest, most delicate stuff I've ever heard.
I would like to thank this man for writing our song
Everything in this video is just damn near perfect. Music, location, that setting sun. It all just fits together so well
I love Todd and I'm stoked to see more of him!
You keep on pickin' Mr. Wait. Helluva song.
Watched Todd play this in Nashville the other day. Me and my old traveling buddy looked at each other with tears in our eyes. What a song.
I saw Todd busking in New Orleans some 9 years ago and was immediately struck by his talent and style. Glad to see him here!
This light is damn near perfect.
This is pure.
Hi! Columbia resident here, love the Cooper’s landing shout out!!
he's from my area in Missouri, a pure genuine dude.
Love from cold and rainy Limerick, Ireland. 🔥
This song resonates with me on a whole different level
I just heard this song this morning. It’s been playing in my head all day.
Saw him live with Coleman Williams IV and they killed it but Todd is just the embodiment of old-school country.
Awesome fella...can't wait to see you at The Maverick festival in Suffolk, UK.
It’s going to be a good one
@@tdwpigpen Hell yeah.
So good!
Thank you for writing this. I lean on this song to remind me that even when dealt the hand of being nothin’ to no one but yourself…. That even then you still may share a brotherhood or community with the other countless nameless and forgotten. Thank you for that.
This channel just goes to show how much incredible music is out there that we would never hear otherwise

His voice and guitar playing are both mesmerizing. Love this song. Greetings from Australia.
Such a good tune.. All these videos should be way bigger and popular. And what I great song driving through the flat lands seeing the end of the world all around(I'm not a flat lander it just sounded good to me)

Style and tone for days

I'm just northeast of Cooper's Landing in Columbia to get a natural resources degree. Sometimes I get damn near giving up on the people round here, but apparently I haven't met the right people. Good damn work, friend.
