Why JayzTwoCents is WRONG to Pump Nvidia RTX 3000 GPU's, Crypto CRASH Ensures Lower Prices - Shill!

  • GPU Prices are collapsing and it does not take a genius to workout why? We have a slowing economy, and a collapse in crypto currencies prompting Miners to dump their hoard of crypto cards, many of which they never got around to opening the boxes of as they went insane building crypto rigs that soaked up the maximum current capacity of their home wiring. so in steps RUclips influencer Jayztwocents who in a video tells his watchers to drop everything and go and buy an RTX 3000 series GPU NOW! Probably the worse advice anyone can offer given that RTX 4000 cards are soon to be released which will mean even more supply of 3000 series cards as many users upgrade, it's as though Jay works for Nvidia, i.e. Nvidia wants all of the 3000 stock to vanish ahead of the launch of 4000 series but that aint going to happen given the amount of stock miners are dumping so in step shills such as Jayz to drum up sales for Nvidia.
    The bottom line this is NOT a good time to BUY NEW RTX 3000 GPU's, instead second hand DPU's can be bought for HALF the price of new and if one waits a couple more months probably a 1/3rd cheaper still!
    Jayz is giving the worst advice ever!

    I remember when the 3000 series was announced and they said the 3070 would be $500 and would have 2080Ti like performance and could find 2080Ti's for as low as $400. That will happen again but with 3000 series cards. It will probably be a great time to buy something at pretty good price. It all comes down to what you have in the end and what you're looking for. For example I'm looking to get a high end Nvidia or AMD gpu when they launch but I've had a 6800xt for close to 2 years now so I can wait.

    Some retailers like scan are having an Nvidia event soon, With Nvidia also being overstocked on wafers there going to have to bomb the price to get rid of them before the RTX4000 Series release.

    You are correct, the 3000 Nvidia GPU series will continue to get cheaper.
    However,
    I don't think Jay is working for NVidia. If crypto comes back, Jay will be 100% correct. Also, he is saying that if you want a GPU now, you can get it now & not over pay for it.
    Lastly, you have to consider this: just because the 3000 GPU series will likely get cheaper, does not mean the Nvidia 4000 series will be cheap. They will be power hungry and expensive!

    I don't buy my cards new usually but I did buy my 30 series card brand new. I kinda wish I had not. Back in christmas of last year my son needed a new GPU. I paid $125 for a GTX 950!!!! Now that same card costs $40 to $60 bucks. Most miners do take care of their cards too. Plus you can always return a ebay GPU even if the seller dont accept returns. if they have it listed as "used" that implies it is working so if you receive on that is not working correctly or is blue screening you can return and get your money back. I did kinda feel like he was shilling to nvidia mostly. He did mention that he would rather pick up a 6700 XT, so that could be considered shilling to both? lol

    With the ammount of cache and clockspeeds i recon 4070 will be a much better buy than a 3090 and for way less money. Unless they gonna have the 4070 start at 1500$...
    Raptor I5 and a 4070 is going to be a firecombo for gaming at readonable pricing i bet. Raptor I5 close to 12900K in performance ffs.
    So a new I5 with a 4070 will give you about 90-100fps in 4K in cyberpunk is a very legit estimate..

      I commented here yesterday, that if the price is right, buy now. Don't expect drastic price changes in the coming months. I got a nitro+ 6700xt new for 400$, usually here it's from 550$ and second hand from 500, but I got a nice deal. It really depends on country too. But I guess if rtx 40 come out this year, the rtx 30 and amd 6000 won't go down easily, not the lower and mid range. The high end cards Wil surely have to fall in price, cause even the 3080 won't be able to hold its price when 4060/70/80 come out. But that can be as far as early 2023. So... If you can get a 6700xt, 3060ti for 400-450$, get it now, unless you can wait and have the money for autumn. If you want a 3070 or 3080 but are msrp or more, WAIT!

    I don't have a legit gaming computer. Just had a laptop with a gpu. Just graduating from college I knew that making a rig was out of my budget. Now that I have my first engineering job and live alone I wanted to invest into my entertainment. I got a new 3080 xc card from evga website during the 23 event. I wished I could get the ftw3 for the same price on the website but I did not want to wait for any of the "good" deals to go away. I may be foolish for not getting a used card but I did not want to investigate through questions and pictures if the card will last 6 more years or 1 more year. I'm trying to keep that gpu for as long as possible. I researched the best air cooled cases so the card will not reach above 70C so it last 6000 series. I'll get the torrent compact case. I'm just trying to get my rig up as quickly as so I can to play steam games my laptop struggles to run.

    Whatever you do: don't buy cards used for mining. They've been run 24/7 in cramped mining rigs, never stopped to clean out the dust.
    While the chip may be okay, the VRM and memory are certainly way past their MTBF, may contain modified BIOS and can artifact or fail at any time.
    Also, making miners keep the loss is the only way to prevent such a bubble from happening again in the future. Don't reward them!

    • @Quantum_AI_Tech
      @Quantum_AI_Tech  2 года назад

      yes, but if they undervolt and look after them by keeping them cool then they should be fine. A case of each card on its own merit.

    If you are a stock trader, as long as there is no such uptrend in the crypto market, you'll knew that Jay was giving bad advise regarding RTX 3000 series going to be gone due to out of stock. My advise is just wait until at the end of this year and see how much the gpu price is going down. Didn't matter if it's below the msrp or not. Jay seem to forget that gpu is not necessities for average consumers most of the time.. What's important for the incoming future ahead is whether you still can put food on the table or not. Jay is wrong about buying now, but not be wrong about not waiting for the 4000 series. The price will probably continue to drop at least until the AMD Radeon 7700 launches, and likely until the nVidia RTX 4070 launches, It is possible that supplies of the 3000 series will dry up, and prices will start rising as soon as the 4070 launches, but not before.
    My guess is that, while Jay is not a shill, he is eager to get his hands on 4000 series cards, and knows that 4000 series won't launch until the glut of 3000 series cards are sold.
    Wait at least until the launch date of the AMD Radeon 7700 launch date is announced, and you might get an even better deal when the launch date of the RTX 4070 launch date is announced.

      I don't know if he got paid, I mean he'd have to disclose anything that's promotional but I feel a lot of these bigger channels have close relationships, for example Jay has a very close relationship with EVGA and Nvidia and channels like Digital Foundry for example have done a lot of sponsored content for Nvidia, more than any other company, Digital Foundry showcased the 3090 to the world for Nvidia, that's a big deal, they were one of a select few channels to do it. With such a close and profitable relationship they wouldn't even have to get paid to overlook criticism or cover their products in a more positive light. Jay never mentioned the used market which is where you can find some nice deals right now.

  • @ancientslav4863
    @ancientslav4863 2 года назад +2

    Jay's advice is relevant dependent on who you are, where you live by country and what your financial situation is.
    In my country, second hand rtx 30 and RX 6000 cards cost up to 300$ less than MSRP. the cheapest rx 6700 xt go from 550$, second hand from 400$. 3080 goes from 850$, second hand from 700$ etc.
    I bought the best version of the rx 6700 xt 12GB Sapphire Nitro+ brand new for 400$. I guess this card and/or other versions from msi, asus etc would go down in few months. But I doubt I could get a 6700, 6800, 3070, 3080...for under 400 or 300$ any time soon. Not even this year. So I got a steal deal. And this is where I say you can buy now if the price is really good.
    I think that in my case, the 6700xt wouldn't be 200$ even in 2 years...ans I won't wait months for another 100$ save.
    So it really depends. If you have the money and a good card now and can wait, wait. But don't expect drastic price changes.
