What I love about Shikari is that they rarely (or ever) have guests on their tracks but they really let the guest shine and is a part of the song throughout instead of just Enter Shikari then here's a 30 second feature, if you know what i mean! they really let Cody flourish throughout this entire track like how they let Wargasm flourish on The Void Stares Back

fuckkk this song is so fun, man. never heard of cody frost until i found her through this song and i love that shikari had let her take the front of this song like how with their previous song with wargasm, it was basically 50/50. cody is immensely talented and it's hecking adorable that being a huge enter shikari fan had allowed her to make a song with her heroes. i love how the band does not shy away in letting their featured artists shine whilst they kinda take the back for a bit

Blows my mind to consider The Mindsweep 'old music'. That came out in 2015, and is their 4th album (5th if you include Acid Nation or Tribalism). I respectfully disagree that I miss it. I love all of it as if it were new!

I feel like in a weird way, Enter Shikari are almost mimicking what BMTH are doing, but in their own space - their dropped The Spark not too long after TTS, and their sound/artistic progression has been down a ‘similar’ route but, again, in their own niche and are really coming in to their own
Ps. I think they said they felt like they could’ve written 2 albums when Nothing Is True…came out, so they stated the next one would be a sister album compared to it - a continuation with a similar yet different tone

i think it’s the other way around since sempiternal. sempiternal sound came after affoc, amo sound came after the spark and post human sound came after nothing is true

@@arilrazzzak I know for a fact The Spark came after TTS, but anyway when I said “mimicking” I didn’t mean copying, I just meant it’s quite cool how they’ve almost gone down parallel paths at fairly similar periods of time :) also Nothing Is True and the first few singles from Post Human both came out like at almost the same time, which again was awesome

Clearly you guys are shikari fans but have you listened to A Flash Flood of Colour? It was recommended to me by my dad back in 2013 and they've been my favourite band ever since. It is a masterpiece, well worth watching the documentary on how they made it as well
