    I tried to plant turmeric. I see what I did wrong. I thought those sprouts were roots. I planted them all upside down. LOL Also, I didn't do all the other things either. Just stuck them in the ground upside down and watered to keep the soil moist. They rotted. Now I know. Thank you.

      @sowmyamp9381 Год назад +1

      @@daphneraven6745 I have also appreciated your video in my comment above. But you took only the word “convincing”. I don’t think my comment is rude. I just wanted to see the real outcome. I thought this feedback would help you to overcome the missing thing in your future videos. And I tried to find any one reply that someone got success by trying this method. I found none, everyone said amazing method but no one tried and got successful results out of this. Again this is not a hatred conversation, it is just one of the viewer thought.

    • @daphneraven6745
      @daphneraven6745 Год назад

      @@sowmyamp9381 : It is possible that there is a misunderstanding here.
      I came across this video myself, having bought fresh turmeric at a shop a couple of months ago for the first time, and then had an opportunity to travel on short notice before I was able to use it; It was just a short trip, to see family that I hadn’t seen in a couple of years, but it was enough that I forgot all about the turmeric.
      Turmeric is some thing we only see in powdered form here, and occasionally sliced from a specialty store, which would be very expensive, so nobody I knew had any idea as to how to properly nurture it.
      I’ve been home for a little bit, and two days ago, I discovered that the turmeric had sprouted in the cupboard.
      I’ve checked several videos, and most of them to show a follow up that is successful, and so got a pot with some compressed coir soaked and ready for nestling the pieces of turmeric, which are sitting in a glass of water with the shoots sticking out since early this afternoon. Tomorrow I’ll plant them.
      So I’m one more source that cannot tell you how well this is going to work. I did not section the pieces of turmeric, although I may section a couple. But it will be at least a week or two before I know how well they’re going to do.
      If you comment back then to ask me, I may be able to give you a response.
      I live in the north, and my area is not warm. We also do not get a whole lot of sunlight during this time of the year. On our brightest days, I only get an hour and a half of direct sunlight in my windows every day. According to some sources, turmeric root requires quite a bit of warmth to grow, so I don’t know how that will apply to your situation. Grow lights are in the cards for me.
      I may invest in a plant germination mat to help them along, but that’s as much info as I can offer.
      Since I have never made videos for social media and have no plans to do so, your comments probably won’t help me a lot with videoing, but I appreciate your kindness.
      My best suggestion would be to check out other videos on the same subject, or to use your search engine when you want to see a video that gives more information. This video may have been the third or fourth for me.
      I hope this helps.
