Yes, very true. I have now built a new decoder using the ESP32 and new algorityms which is better at decoding hand keyed CW. It also includes a practice mode to analyse your timing accuracy.
Looks like the DFT performed really well. It seems that you did not made the code available for public. Any tips for the tuning?

ARduino always decode computer created CW well.. but not if someone writes by hand
