Other sects/branches/denominations have also made progress but not as a community since large number of them continue to be supportive of extremist elements. I myself don't belong to the Bohra community but there are many people around me who are also not Bohras but are not extremist. With time probably everyone will change.❤️

Dowdi Bohra is overall best Muslim community of India. Rather in division, they believe in integration. I have been lucky to have a friend, practicing Muslim from Dowdi Bohra community. Very peaceful people. Dowdi Bohra are mostly Gujarati and they invites Modi every year in their events and Modi goes there every year.
One answer from Quora on Dowdi Muslim: Well. I am a Dawoodi Bohra Muslim. And believe me, it makes no difference at all as an individual. The answer i am presenting will solely take Dawoodi Bohras into consideration. Reason being they are the largest ethnic Bohra group. Bohras are mainly indulged into Business of all sorts. Also, Bohras are Shia Muslims. I was born and brought up in small town - Dahod, Gujarat. It is the birthplace of the Mughal emperor, Aurangzeb. If anyone knows or has visited Dahod, they would not be surprised by the fact that Bohras comprise a huge quantum of the total population. Like any other kid, I grew up in a small Bohra oriented neighborhood. We used to have a school dedicated for the Bohra people but I got admitted into a more secular one. One thing which i and so will most of the people agree that Bohras are adhere to religion a lot. As far as literacy is concerned, i haven't seen any child who hasn't cleared his 10th grade. I have lots of Hindu friends - actually a chunk of them. They have never discriminated against anything just because of my caste. I have never felt anything weird/extraordinary about me being a Bohra. I pray and try to Fast as much as i can in holy month of Ramadan. I celebrate Holi, Diwali, Navratri(I’ve received numerous awards for playing garba) like any other individual. There is however some opposition from people regarding the way we put our faith in our religious Leader (some even call us a Cult :P), but it depends solely upon the individual 's cognizance. Bohras normally prefer to stay in a closely knit society. I feel truly grateful for being a part of this culture. There are pros and cons but that’s how life works. Lets jump to the Rituals part. Our calendar walks a bit ahead of the normal Muslim calendar. You'll find a Bohra celebrating the Ramadan Eid a couple of days or at-least a day before the world's Muslims celebrate it. Also we don’t depend on sighting of the Moon while celebrating Eid. We follow the Seven Pillars of Islam. You would hardly find a Bohra having a scuffle with anyone. Cold-Blooded we are ;). But if you ask people of Dahod, they'll be willing to keep their faith on a Bohra rather than someone else. We are forbidden to indulge into any practices concerning Riba or byaazj/Interest and Usury. We have separate banks who don't offer us interest and they give us loan which is Interest Free. Practices: A) Our holy Masjids' have floors. Usually the ground floor is occupied by males while females take over the first and second floor. Women are allowed to pray in Masjid with men. B)Males prefer having beards. Traditional Wear for Males is White colored Kurta-Pajama. Females mostly wear the traditional outfit - Rida. Unlike the conventional Muslim Female outfit, it doesn't have a veil and its colorful (never of Black colour). Names: Most important part. I have been asked like zillion of times about what my actual name is. People ask my name. I say Mohammed; and involuntarily the person would ask, what is your actual name. So yes, we have First name as Mohammed. Few names such as Alisha, aaliya etc are barely used. I have tried to give you a brief insight about Bohras. If you need more info I'd happy to share it

I am not interested in all Muslims because lots of communities of Muslims especially sunni are loyal to their religious homeland which is madina and they treat other lands as a cultivation land for their community colony which basic structure of Islam grow your community and grab the land and rule the Islamic law. Other sects/branches/denominations have also made progress but not as a community since large number of them continue to be supportive of extremist elements. I myself don't belong to the Bohra community but there are many people around me who are also not Bohras but are not extremist. With time probably everyone will change.❤️

BBC documentary should had watched Modi's friendship with the Bohra Muslim community before releasing the documentary. We Sanatanis are never against any culture because we ourselves have been developed by aggregating multiple cultures and becoming one long before the liberals knew the meaning of liberalism and secularism. Thats why we have been called the way of living. A way of living where we adapt with each other's culture and progress. We are just against radicalism. If we were against other cultures or religion, we would had never allowed those religions on our land. But we didn't, because we respect others and think the whole world as one.

Dowdi Bohra is overall best Muslim community of India. Rather in division, they believe in integration. I have been lucky to have a friend, practicing Muslim from Dowdi Bohra community. Very peaceful people. Dowdi Bohra are mostly Gujarati and they invites Modi every year in their events and Modi goes there every year.

Well. I am a Dawoodi Bohra Muslim. And believe me, it makes no difference at all as an individual. The answer i am presenting will solely take Dawoodi Bohras into consideration. Reason being they are the largest ethnic Bohra group. Bohras are mainly indulged into Business of all sorts.
Also, Bohras are Shia Muslims.
I was born and brought up in small town - Dahod, Gujarat. It is the birthplace of the Mughal emperor, Aurangzeb. If anyone knows or has visited Dahod, they would not be surprised by the fact that Bohras comprise a huge quantum of the total population.
Like any other kid, I grew up in a small Bohra oriented neighborhood. We used to have a school dedicated for the Bohra people but I got admitted into a more secular one. One thing which i and so will most of the people agree that Bohras are adhere to religion a lot. As far as literacy is concerned, i haven't seen any child who hasn't cleared his 10th grade.
I have lots of Hindu friends - actually a chunk of them. They have never discriminated against anything just because of my caste. I have never felt anything weird/extraordinary about me being a Bohra. I pray and try to Fast as much as i can in holy month of Ramadan. I celebrate Holi, Diwali, Navratri(I’ve received numerous awards for playing garba) like any other individual. There is however some opposition from people regarding the way we put our faith in our religious Leader (some even call us a Cult :P), but it depends solely upon the individual 's cognizance.
Bohras normally prefer to stay in a closely knit society. I feel truly grateful for being a part of this culture. There are pros and cons but that’s how life works.
Lets jump to the Rituals part. Our calendar walks a bit ahead of the normal Muslim calendar. You'll find a Bohra celebrating the Ramadan Eid a couple of days or at-least a day before the world's Muslims celebrate it. Also we don’t depend on sighting of the Moon while celebrating Eid. We follow the Seven Pillars of Islam.
You would hardly find a Bohra having a scuffle with anyone. Cold-Blooded we are ;). But if you ask people of Dahod, they'll be willing to keep their faith on a Bohra rather than someone else.
We are forbidden to indulge into any practices concerning Riba or byaazj/Interest and Usury. We have separate banks who don't offer us interest and they give us loan which is Interest Free.
Practices: A) Our holy Masjids' have floors. Usually the ground floor is occupied by males while females take over the first and second floor. Women are allowed to pray in Masjid with men.
B)Males prefer having beards. Traditional Wear for Males is White colored Kurta-Pajama. Females mostly wear the traditional outfit - Rida. Unlike the conventional Muslim Female outfit, it doesn't have a veil and its colorful (never of Black colour).
Names: Most important part. I have been asked like zillion of times about what my actual name is. People ask my name. I say Mohammed; and involuntarily the person would ask, what is your actual name. So yes, we have First name as Mohammed. Few names such as Alisha, aaliya etc are barely used.

I am not interested in all Muslims because lots of communities of Muslims especially sunni are loyal to their religious homeland which is madina and they treat other lands as a cultivation land for their community colony which basic structure of Islam grow your community and grab the land and rule the Islamic law. They use their religion as tool of earning political power and rule. Their are very few loyal peoples and sacrificing peoples in Islam who do it by heart for any alien land. That's why i say every Muslim who love for country tell him don't follow religious fundamentals if you want to live for a country progress.
