What a great lesson Sandra! A very special way to start the new year. I am traveling back from my trip to Mexico and I can’t wait to get home to start studying your excellent work. Thank you so much and have a wonderful year!
@@GuitarversumSandraSherman I enjoyed my stay in Mexico and got to see a lot of relatives. I hope you had a great Holiday season. I am really impressed with the way your playing sounds, you have a special gift and touch to generate a nice and clean sound. The intimate connection that you have with your guitar shows all the time, regardless of how you do it, with a pick, finger style, or hybrid picking. I love it!
@@GuitarversumSandraSherman yes it is A co worker friend of mine said he would sneak in and see Wes as young man at the missle room on Indiana avenue unfortunately the venue is gone.
Happy new year, my friend! I just learned, that Kevin Eubanks "stole" the 2 appended parts. It was written by Bruce Johnson and he copied Rodney Jones' arrangement of it. Rodney told me that himself (there's a recorded version of him from 1978 up here on YT).
@@GuitarversumSandraSherman whoa, that’s an anecdote!! I guess musicians are always “borrowing” parts and ideas. I know I’ve played some of yours😌! It’s an evolving art I guess🧐… be well!
Nice lesson and thank you for the explanation. Actually you may not know this but its Rodney Jones' who arranged that and added those sections. Eubanks got that from Rodney. I see you added arranged by Rodney so that is cool.
I don't think your thumb is too big for strumming. You may need to change the angle you're picking the strings at. Hold it like 30-45° to red string. That way you only touch the string with a part of your thumb and also the sound is more distinct and clear.
I found your channel when I was looking for a review for Jazz3 picks..I play Hard Rock and blues. The other day I discovered Boogaloo Joe Jones and I am in love with this album the Psychedelic Soul Jazz Guitar of Joe Jones and I tryied to learn by my self the song The Beat Goes On but no luck. Please please can you do a tutorial with chords and melody. Thank you very much and I can pay for your work or if you can I can do guitar lesson for that song,I really whant to master this song. Thank you very much
Hi Sandra , I am interested to buy iThe Thumb (Wes Montgomery) is it included in any of your jazz packages? Or only bought separated ? Thanks Happy New Year
, es, always! Use the settings I described in my amp settings video. I just cranked the Gain a bit more, to get a bluesier feeling, where a slight overdrive on a few notes, that are hit harder don't hurt.
Hi Sandra, thank you very much for the lessons, I learn a lot. Could you work out some international movies themes, those famous themes That are in everybody's memoryies. Thanks dear, I want to marrie you 😍
Those movie themes are highly copyrighted. I got 2 strikes on pooular songs already, so I sticky stick to jazz standards. I've been happily married for the past 23 years btw 😊.

That sounds fantastic! I wasn't aware that Eubanks did a version of this.
I learned that at the conservatory. Blew me away immediately.
Another home run... Really Nice, Thank You! B-)
That one's a show of, if you perform it. It looks tricky, but isn't really 😉
Great tutorial, love those chords. I need to work on my octaves.
Yes, they can be tricky. The trick is to jeep your fingers stiff while you move around the fretboard.
If there was a love button I’d hit it
I feel the love already 😍
Great video. Thanks.
